Hi Everyone, just a little bit about myself.

My real name is Cory, I live in a small town in Wisconsin, just about 35 miles away from Green Bay (I'm sure most of you have heard of this thanks to quarterback Brett Favre).

I have been a Star Trek fan since the days of TNG (hey, I'm only 28, OK). I watched DS9, Voyager and Enterprise.

I am a sports editor/photographer at The Shawano Leader newspaper where have been the last 8 years. It's sweet because my editor is also a trekkie.

I also run my own website at http://www.corydell.com with some of my photos that I've taken and page design from the newspaper.

Feel free to e-mail me at anytime. dellec54@frontiernet.net.

Later!

Hello Cory, my name is Mark, and I will be playing the role of Uvek, the new Chief Tactical Officer. If you go to the Hartington Home Page, you will see a note I posted there from my character to yours.

I hope you will not take it personally, but in reading your personal logs and bio, I thought it best to approach the game from the character of a slightly arrogant Tal Shiar operative, who's had a long time of being independent, and expects to get his way. It may be that Uvek will be a little rough on T'Cor, until he realizes his professionalism, and lightens up.

I've been watching star trek since the 70's (hey, I'm 45, after all...lol), and I still feel a little like a fish out of water.

Great job here, and I look forward to working toward a strong relationship in the future.

Mark/Uvek

Hi Mark,

Nice to have you on board. It's been a blast so far. Right now my character is in the middle of a battle on the bridge of a ship that sent out a distress call. It's a 4 person away team and the Commander and my character are still shooting our way throught it, while the marine major and the doctor are both knocked out from phaser shots.

I'm looking forward to meeting your character, we should have some back stories I think. T'Cor hasn't been a fan of the Romulans for a while, as you can tell from my post from when he was just receiving his first assignment with the Andorial Imperial Guard ... you'll see more of it as I post the next one, which is him a few years of him after he takes his assignment. I just want people to know what my character is about.

Now me personally, I love Romulans. They're evil and mysterious. Probably my favorite of the aliens on Star Trek.

Have fun!
Cory

Corey,

I totally agree with you on several points. I think it would be great if T'Cor would pick a fight with Vrassoc, in which his true feelings come out, right after Uvek gives him a shakedown early on after their meeting. Uvek sets him off, and he storms out, type of thing. It might even give T'Cor more points with the Klingon onboard, and create a little friction for future adventures, until we all settle into the crew thing.

Also, I love the Romulan Empire, they are arrogant, condescending, but they are also loyal, and "human" in a lot of ways. I think we'll use the rest of the adventure to discover the arc that brings Uvek and T'Cor into agreement (like they get stranded somewhere together, or whatever)......a backstory never hurts!

I'm Alaina, and I'm playing the character 'Lt. Commander Davynn Qech' (Pronounced somewhat like the word 'Catch'). Welcome to the game! You seem to be coming in just when things are getting interesting. Just like Corey said, we're in the middle of a fire fight on a sitting duck freighter drifting through the badlands, while the rest of the crew seems to have their hands full with other problems.

A little about myself: I actually haven't been into Star Trek for very long. My husband (the narrator) introduced it to me about 4 or 5 years ago, before we were married, and I just sort of absorbed it like a sponge. Before that I regarded it with the stereotypical non-fan enui. I'm 27 years old and I live with my husband in NH. I work for a small company, but I do some freelance illustration in my free time (mostly sci-fi and fantasy).

My deviantart site can be seen here: http://alainam.deviantart.com/

Again, welcome to the game! I hope you have fun!

Well he didn't exactly drag me here kicking and screaming, but I have to admit that it took a few of his best 'puppy-eye' faces to get me to do it. Once he got me involved on a creative level (a character I liked, making graphics for the site, etc.) I think he knew I'd fall into his little trap. I do have a tendency to fall in love with ideas if you know just how to present them to me... It worked. lol So, here I am. Lt. Commander Qech, reporting for duty!

I visited your website, commander, and I was like, wow. Nice artistry, in fact quite amazing. You are gifted, at the least.

I am getting more familiar with all here and I am sure now that this will be a great collaboration.

Be sure you read "The Tower of Babel" in the stories....I put that there for you to help flesh out a history of hatred against the romulans.

I am very excited in posting chats over the past few days, to see our interaction. I view it a lot like spock and mccoy, and have spent some time pouring over video clips and other spots that contain their dialogue.

They hate each other for certain positions but both recognize in the other a quality to be admired, and so they became strong allies and even friends.

I look forward to developing that type of an arc with your character, too. You seem to have a strong grasp of where you are from, and I love the icon.
