Attention all crew, thanks to Lieutenant Calodan we have a new website! It uses the standard SMS setup that most Simulations use. I am in the process of switching our info over to the new site but I need your help. I need each and every member of the crew to go over to the new website, register and join the crew with your current character. I'll take care of the rest. We'll still be using this forum for our gaming pleasure, the old site was simply not working out anymore.
Here is the web address:
http://www.dumpsterdivinggeek.com/hartington/
Now, there is something we may want to think of doing. Currently the site is set up on Mr. Calodan's personal webserver and even though he's been kind enough to do this for us I don't feel right just leaching off of him like that for too long. What I hope to do is locate some cheap webspace and get us set up, but for that I may need some help from you guys. Here is what we're looking for:
1) Cheap Webspace. Anyone who wants to help out in this regard start looking around. If you have access to some you wouldn't mind letting us use by all means let us know and we'll look into getting this sorted.
2) If we do find some webspace that we need to pay for it(no matter how low the cost). What we could really use in this regard would be donations from the crewmen. I have set up a paypal account for the Sim that money can be sent to for donation purposes. Anyone wishing to make a donation can make a post in the General Chat section under the Donations thread.
This is the kind of situation that binds us together as a crew. I feel that things like this Forum or our new website make us a community, and as a community we will need to pull together to ensure that our Sim not only stays alive but thrives.
Thank you all for your continued support. _________________

I created a Starfleet Academy Cadet for each division, simply choose which one your character is studying in. For all Cadets I'll give this chance to switch up their departments if they feel like they want to.

You will have the chance to update your character's personal info after it's been brought on grid. You can put as much or as little detail in as you like at this time, though I'd prefer everyone get onto the site as soon as possible. _________________

As for cheap webspace,
Hostmonster has a deal right now for $3.95/mo for their unlimited plan. Its a good deal.
I'm willing to chuck some money into the pot to get us started.
Also, you can access the SMS at http://usshartington.dumpsterdivinggeek.com if you have troubles with the other URL. _________________
