Specifications of the System 921 Combat Emergency Medical Hologram can be found on the USS Hartington webpage. However, I thought I would share some of the insights on the system: The transmitter case is actually a valise-style unit similar to the new panasonic toughbook, only larger. It is approximately 15 kilograms due to the level of medical equipment, memory, and abilities the unit brings to the field.

The containment unit houses a fully restockable supply of hypo sprays, standard to any emergency medical kit, along with standard emergency medical supplies. It also has a small command-style hand phaser along with an emergency transporter, much like the armband units, for moving critically wounded soldiers out of harms way. (limited use, however, due to the power requirements, and provided there is a transporter array within its effective range). It has a universal translator, and limited radar and sensor array (approximately 20 meter radius). This array is activated 6 seconds before the hologram appears, allowing for more immediate identification of and response to emergencies. Finally, it has the communications capabilities of any commbadge as well.

The hologram no longer needs a tridcorder, as this is built into the sensor array, but still requires a separate weapon at present. (It's primary mission is medical response, but it can provide limited combat operations when necessary or ordered to do so).

While it can only maneuver up to 16 feet from it's projector, it also now has the unique capability of picking the transmitter up and carrying it, thus allowing it to exfiltrate a particularly dangerous environment. It is no stronger than a normal human, but also does not tire, nor feel pain. It is capable of withstanding direct hits from a weapons discharge and, if vaporized, can be reconstituted by rebooting the system manually. It is housed in a duranium/polycarbonate shell, but if that shell is damaged in any way, the quality and durability of the hologram will suffer.

I hope this helps. If I missed anything, or something doesn't sound right, let me know. I especially would love the input of the medical staff.

all the best....Mark
