Calodan shook his head. "Launching runabouts without external sensors would be a bad idea, Ensign. I'll work on getting thruster control online as soon as we have some idea of what is going on."

Uvek watched the Commander stand and take in Lt. Ghan's statement, then he made sure the captain was comfortable and that the medic was working on him. He moved to Ensign Phell, who at this point was having difficulty breathing. Hnaev! There was nothing the Tactical officer could do for him. "Ensign, see to Mr. Phell as best you can!"

He moved back to the tactical board. Flashing lights mirrored the Ops panel, and Uvek knew things were serious throughout the ship. He looked to see what information Ghan had brought to the bridge with him.

Lieutenant Ghan shook his head as he gave his report to the Executive Officer.

"I'm afraid we're dead in the water, Commander. Whatever that shockwave was it seems to have been specifically generated at a frequency to shatter dilithium crystals... we don't have the ability to go to warp. Even if we did the port-side nacelle housing has been blown out and the field coils have been fused together. With a fresh resupply of crystals we could manage warp 2.7, possibly warp 3 if we pushed her... but in this condition..."

He was interrupted by the beeping of his combadge, a welcome sound after the last several minutes.

"Runabout Columbia to Lieutenant Ghan. This is Ensign Goldman. Sir, it appears as though the shock wave dissipated before it affected the aux craft. Warp power is available on the Runabouts and shuttles!"

At that, Lieutenant Ghan sighed deeply and smiled. Tapping his own combadge he spoke into back to the Ensign.

"Very good, Ensign. Continue on your survey."

Ghan looked to the Commander and nodded, one of his porcine hands on her shoulder.

"We should get him to Sickbay."

Qech breathed a small sigh of relief when Ghan's combadge chirped to life, but it didn't last long.

"We should get him to Sickbay."

"She nodded. Yes, immediately. We have several serious cases up here. Phel and McTavish, especially. Lt. Calodan won't be solving too many problems in his condition either."

She looked from the Captain's prone form, remembering something he had handed her in a report from one of the science officers.

"About the Dilithium crystals..." She paused for a moment, to allow the recent memory to form in her mind. "I distinctly remember seeing a report from one of the long range probes reading a large quantity of dilithium crystals on a planet about 10 light years from the Hartington's current position. If the runabouts are functioning..."

Ghan shook his head at the Ensign's suggestion.

"No, we'll need the Runabouts to gather the dilithium... and whatever else we'll need... but we may be able to convert one of the shuttles into something of a battery. You may be onto something, Ensign."

Lieutenant Ghan motioned for Lieutenant Uvek to help him lift the Captain's form and begin the long trek down to Sickbay.

(I sent both Doctors Azmay and Newell some info... I hope they answer soonish.)

Qech looked about the bridge, and her broken Crewmates.

"Anyone with the strength to spare, we need to get the injured to sickbay! That means you too, Mr. Calodan. Crisis or no, you can barely stand."

She moved over to help support him. "Come on. This ship isn't going to get back on her feet if no one can stay on theirs."

((OOC: speaking of staying on one's feet. I need to go to bed. My posting spree ends here until tomorrow afternoon. lol Night!)

Uvek moved to help Lt. Ghan take the captain into the cramped quarters of the Jeffries tube. The weight would prove little problem to his physiology, but the cramped tubes caused the captain's lolling head to smack him in the broken cheek from time to time. His mind went back to just days earlier and the prayer to the Elements.

Fvadt! He thought to himself cursing, [if the Universe is sentient, it certainly has a cruel sense of humor!

"Thank you Commander, but I'll be able to keep going. Just give me another shot of the inpendrezine and I'll be fine. One of us has to try and keep things together." As he finished talking, he finished a command sequence and the doors to the turbolift opened. "That is a one-way ticket to Deck 7 Sir. I routed enough power from non-essential systems to get it working. Given 10 minutes, I should be able to get us some rudimentary deflector screens up, using the nadion capacitors from the phaser banks. Should have enough power to keep the shields up and give us basic sensors and comms for about half an hour or so, then we'll have to shut down and allow them to trickle charge for about an hour, hour and a halfish." He turned to look at Lt. Ghan. "Mr. Ghan, if you could patch an impulse reactor into the secondary power grid, we might be able to at least keep the lights running and the air flowing."

McTavish could hear his mother yelling at him to get out of bed. He was going to be later for school. With an effort Liam rolled onto his side. Wrong side. The shooting agony woke him up completely, at least for a few moments.
Looking around he could see a group moving through the jefferies tube. The XO was saying something to LT Calodan but it was muzzy. An open first aid kit lay near by. Carefully searching inside, Liam gave himself a hypo for the pain. He scanned the Science Officer and found her knocked out but otherwise unharmed. Liam changed the hypo spray and used it to wake the girl.
As her eyes fluttered open, "Can you move? If so see if you can help the XO."
Not waiting to see what she was doing. McTavish crawled to Ensign Phell. How long had the been since the respirator had been damaged? To long? McTavish eyes were blurring as he tried to scan the respirator with a Tricorder.

"Dr. Newell to the bridge, what happened?"
There was no reply.
Oliver rolled onto his knees, and stood up. He froze. In front of him, laying sprawled like a ragdoll was Dr. Kiv, with burns on her hands and face.
Oliver ran to her, stopped himself tripping and crouched down next to her.
He felt for a pulse . . . ..and let out a sigh of relief.
It seemed like a power conduit had exploded in her face, causing her pretty complexion to be hidden in swelling welts, caused by the burns.
He glanced around and realized they were only a few minutes from sickbay.
Oliver lifted the doctor, legs complaining due to the strain. A few minutes seemed like forever, but he finally made it. sickbay was empty at the moment, but he had a feeling it wasn't gonna stay like that.
"Computer, locate Dr. Azmay"
He waited and then realized power was out throughout the whole ship.
Oliver cursed under his breath.
He removed the Dr.'s medical gown, and began treating her burns with a dermal regenerator. "This isn't how it's meant to be Dr, your the one who should be helping me." Oliver continued the treatment, the Dr was silent.

Petty Officer Smith was sitting at the desk in the Brig's Security Office. He was catching up on some paperwork, that his newly issued Light Duty allowed him to work on, when suddenly a bright flash of what he thought was a transporter brought his attention out to the main Brig.

A large being stood there... and was like nobody he had seen before.

Startled by the intruder, Smith ran back to the Office, locked the automatic door, and activated an intruder alert.

"SMITH TO BRIDGE - I HAVE AN INTRUDER ALERT IN THE BRIG... SOME ALIEN LIFE FORM I'VE NEVER SEEN!"

The Tricorder continued to slip in and out of clarity, but it looked like both the power supply and and the flow indicator had come disconnected. The side was cracked but might allow access to the inside. Being as careful as he could McTavish pried open the casing. The light was horrible but McTavish thought he could see where the power supply had come lose.
It didnt take more than a moment to find a long piece of clear plastic from a console. Using it as a probe, Liam pushed the power supply back into place. The flow indicator took a little bit longer to find and allowed a choice of full on or off. McTavish chose all on and after a couple seconds Ensign Phell was getting the chlorine he needed to survive.
McTavish pulled a roll of tape from the med kit and with some effort taped the respirator well enough to keep it going and not leak very much out the sides.
McTavish pulled himself to a bulkhead and hoped the power supply would last, At least Ensign Phell had a chance now. McTavish gathered himself and pulled his legs under him. Standing was an agony but his breathing seemed to ease a little bit once he was on two feet.
Breathing slowly, Mctavish moved step by step towards Tactical and LT Calodan. "Where do you need me Sir?"

Leaving her quarters and heading to her office to retrieve the notes she had left sitting on her desk, she felt the hair on the back of her neck stand, and a moment later, the world went black.

Feeling a pounding in her head that hadn't been there before, she opened her eyes and found the lights down and a red haze filling her vision. sitting up, she could hear movement around her but her vision was so unfocused, she couldn't tell who it was. Placing her hand to her forehead, she could feel the sensitive spot where her head hit the floor. Knowing she had to get on her feet to check others around her she tried to the stand.

Pain tore through her left arm as she tried to push herself up, which only leaded to her ending up on her knees clutching her are to her body. Looking around as her vision cleared she could see others trying to stand, and everyone seemingly as confused as she felt.

She tapped her combadge "Counselor Zeara to bridge" she said, and awaited a response, when none came, fear set in. think Rea... get on your feet and think! Standing up, she moved to the nearest computer terminal and checked the status. oh no... this is not good she thought to herself as she waive a dizziness come over her and her vision clouded, and as she rubbed at her eyes to clear them, she felt her head get light and her vision went black again.
