Hey, I'm Chris. I live in Southern NH with my wife and 2 kids. I started watching Star Trek with my mother when TNG was airing (hey, I'm only 23 after all). She's a closet Trekkie since the 70's. I've been playing table top RPGs since about 11 (obviously they werent very serious at that age, but thats when I started dabbling). 3rd Edition D&D sealed the deal for me and I went and spent all my peronal spending money amassing my collection (and now 4E is out. doh!) and trying my hand at both player and storyteller in White Wolfs Word of Darkness.
Wow this is getting way longer than I expected.... Maybe more later

I hope more of our crew gets involved on this level.
I may suggest to the captain that he insist that at least one entry in character story or some other forum each month.
It would help us all to gather information and understanding of our thinking process and reactions to the unexpected, if we knew more about the others and ourselves.
anyway, keep up the good work, let's set the pace.

While this sounds like a good idea on the outside, I don't think I want to make posting mandatory for players. That said, I do like the idea of the players coming here to participate in the community.
I think fostering discussion here will help grow a sense of closeness to each other that may be more difficult if we stick to e-mail communications alone.
I encourage everyone to try and be an active part of our forum community and I wouldn't be surprised if some of our more active posters receive Charisma Awards. |
