Just had to say....watching Voyager series again. Recording on DVR, since it comes on at 3:30am.....This episode is Tuvok getting attacked. Haven't seen this episode.

Had to put that on hold, though, TNG Best of Both Worlds was recorded at 2:30AM and I GOTTA give props to that one FIRST.

Love that episode. WE ARE THE BORG. No matter what, I love the borg. and Admiral Hanson have arrived on the Excelsior class....nice.

The Best of Both Worlds is by far my favorite episode of Trek... EVER.

I prefer Part One over Part Two, something about the ending:

"Mr. Worf... Fire."

Sends chills up my spine thinking about it. Not to mention the music!

Imagine if they could redo the episode with the Borg designs from First Contact!

I SAY THE SAME THING! I got so into it, and even Dana watched it with me, and enjoyed it. I love that first revelation:

"Your life, as it has been, is OVER> From this time forward, you will service us!" LOVE IT!

Riker always takes the safe way, eh?

Yea.....now, I'm watching Voyager as I write this....the Beneth (B'Neth), dunno, but we'll see...Tuvok is out, cloaked alien shot him, Neelix is whining....

One of the things I never understood about Star Trek, and Star Wars for that matter, was their obsession with putting annoying and useless creatures in their programs. Crusher, Neelix, Jar Jar Binks, AAAAGGH! Yet, try to make them relevant by shoving them in and making them do some piece of miracle work so we could accept them.

I think that was the point, you know? Even the most unlikely (and unlikeable) character can be relevant? But, PUUUULLLLEEEEAAASSSE!

Kill them. KILL THEM ALL!

Ive heard it said that the writer Michael Piller heard he was not being brought back for both the 2nd part and the next season. So he wrote the ending of Part 1, well pretty much whole show, so that the next writer would have a pickle to unravel.

Before the next season start Michael Piller was rehired and asked to write part 2. Alot of opinions say he gave up and tried taking the easy way out, hence the weakness of the 2nd part

I've heard those same rumors but I can't ever find anywhere it's confirmed. It may be in the season 3 or 4 dvd set interviews but I'm just not sure.

"If you drop a hammer on your foot, it's hardly useful to get mad at the hammer." - Riker to Picard.

Just dropping that in...I like that quote!
