OK, I've submitted Kyle Marcus, Science Officer.

I have also done research and will continue to. If you use the above listed link, you will be very very happy. It has tons and I mean tons of pics, layouts, expanded views of NX and everything! Try it out, and take your time picking around...YOU WILL LOVE IT!

I can overlook the weaknesses of this ship as long as I don't pick to much at the outerviews......the rest is really based on my experience with you all, the crew! I think you guys have a good imagination, and so I'm willing to try this era, too.

Uvek, you applied for Science, but that post is already taken. With such a small crew I'd like to stay away from doubling up. If you're insistent we can do that but I really would like to urge you to pick something that isn't taken. Let me know.

Also if you go to the ship tour section (under the top tab that says Challenger) and go to Ship Tour, you'll find the deck plans and the Master Systems Display for an NX Classs ship.

OK, I put another one through...>Still like the Kyle Marcus persona, so sticking with that...but if you don't want him there, please tell me where to put him.

I'm trying to avoid marines because I just don't think I'd do well there, I don't know enough about the treknology of the day to get it done.

I was asked to make a quick update regarding the MACO/ Chief Armory Officer position. We've found a player who wants the role. It will be scratched off the list later.

And regarding your character Uvek, what position are you taking? We could really use an engineer if you're up to it. Smile

Well, I tried for Second Officer. It is generic enough. I just dunno enough about engineering to even fake it. Especially in the era we are delving in.

I might just stick to communications, so if my character is ok in the broad strokes, maybe I could just be thrown in there. That would be ok with me.

Second Officer is a post that is combined with another, much like first officer (in TOS). Think of how Data was third in line for command, or how Trip was aboard the NX-01.

With regard to the technology of the day, it is mostly the same, with a few name changes here or there. There are no shields, only polarized hull plating, no phasers, but pulse phase cannons, no photon torpedoes but photonic torpedoes. Easy stuff!

If you want to be the Comm Officer, that's fine by me, we also have the position of Navigator open if you want it.

Also, i like the idea of the Doctor being old friends with the Captain, it makes a more bonded outlook for me.

Lastly, the COs name: it is my real name. when I put the site up I needed a place holder and it's going to change and soon. just fyi.

Ok,

I'll do the Navigator, see what I can set up. Do I have to do the whole profile again, or no?

There is no navigator position, so I selected Senior Flight Officer....I hope that is ok!

That's probably because he is a real guy lol. It's not a very common last name though. But I was more than happy to trade it in for my maiden name. blech!

What kinda name is blech? Is that cheque? hahaha

Anyway, I was two steps from putting a vulcan on board, but in reading and watching some vulcan specific shows, I don't think it would go over well.

I even gave thought to hitting the cap up on playing external characters, like Klingons and Romulans. Ah well....I like the idea of the cap playing himself. Might be interesting.

You know, I was betting that someone was going to make that joke, and my money was on you. Razz My maiden name is Pouliot. (pronouced: pool-yacht). Just think "little water, big boat" lol. And I think I would prefer "Blech!"

And Tom's not playing himself as the Captain. The name is just a placeholder until he gets the real info up.
