"I intend to give her every opportunity to prove herself, but Mr. Roekil, I want her to be watched."
"Yes sir, I will assign two men to watch her and keep tabs on her via internal sensors. Sir, I must say as Chief of Security I have some reservations about letting this...woman...have free reign of the ship. She is a potentially hostile unknown species and is currently touring the bridge." _________________

"I respect your concern, Mr. Roekil, hence the security detail. It is however, highly unlikely that we are in any danger. While still in the stasis device, she interfaced with the ships computer and had a sufficient level of security clearance to harm the ship and the crew if she had chosen to do so. I believe tracking her movements by internal sensors and a security detail will be sufficient." _________________

Talbert's eyebrows went up at this piece of information. His Operations background kicked in and he had to suppress the urge to question why his department was not informed of this vital breach. But, the captain was in on it, so it was not his concern.
"Captain, perhaps she can assist us in deciphering the ship we have brought back. We could certainly use the language barrier broken down further." _________________

OOC: I wish to appologize for my absence... I've had some rather serious personal incidents that arose and kept me from posting... but I have read up on the thread and wish to thank you all for coping with my absence and at making due with my character as you did. I am finally back to being able to post again.... so I'll keep up with the thread now. _________________

USS Guardian Staffroom
Captain Marek
Marek nodded to Talbert.
"That is my intent, to keep her busy. Between the ship, the data storage device, and the adjustments to her accomodations that need to be made, we should not have any difficulty keeping her busy while we evaluate her intentions. Her response to these demands should be enlightening. I suggest putting Mr. Kuplo to work with her, since he is already familiar with the technology. Our Binar Engineer might also be of some assistance. If there are no more questions?" Marek glanced back at Roekil, "I would like the written reports for the away teams by 10 am tomorrow, we will be leaving orbit shortly."
OOC Rea/Vanquax No worries, everyone gets busy, I myself have quite the day ahead of me today.
Thought I would point out that this thread will be closed for sure by Monday, I'll start another thread called Distress to continue the story (though to start it will mostly be crew aftermath of the away teams) _________________

Talbert nodded in agreement. "Very well sir." He stood and looked at commander Roekil. 'I think it should be noted that things went very smoothly thanks to the preparations from the commander here, and that I'm putting Esign Kuplo in for a commendation. His understanding of the alien technology and leadership were proof that he's the right man for the job. I'll send Lenara to the shuttlebay with an escort, and inform engineering that we're assigning Kuplo to temporary team leader status with regard to the analysis of the ship." _________________
