I figure it's about time I let you people in on me a little bit, at least for those of you who don't already know me in that crazy place we call the real world.
My name is Tom, I'm 25. I currently live in southern New Hampshire with my lovely wife Alaina (she is playing our First Officer, Lieutenant Commander Qech). I was born in Seattle but I lived up and down the West Coast for a long time, spending a lot of time in Oregon. I came to New England when I was in the 5th Grade, but left for 6th, came back for 7th, 8th and 9th... then I left again. When I turned 18 I moved back to NH to be near my baby brother... who is larger than me now... and I've stayed here ever since!
I am a big Trek fan... as you may have noticed... but my interests extend to other arenas. I enjoy a lot of Fantasy, but my first love will always be Sci-Fi. I read a lot. As I said before I have a lot of the Trek Novels, but I also enjoy the Dresden Files, the Emberverse series by S.M. Stirling (called Novels of the Change), the Weather Warden series. I loath Twilight to my core, but I won't hold it against you if you like it. I enjoy a lot of classic novels such as the Sherlock Homes series, Arsene Lupin, Professor Challenger... that kind of thing. The Lord of the Rings is a great big duh. I also enjoy more modern stories such as most anything by Michael Crichton. Harry Potter has to have a mention, though I am not as into it as I used to be... hmm... I think that is enough about books for the moment.
I enjoy most forms of Storytelling, that includes smart Television. I hate reality shows and I think they are hurting the soul of humanity. As a result, most of the shows that I enjoy are canceled after a short run. A few blessed shows are kept around for a while, but they usually jump the shark after a bit... but I still watch them for some reason... go figure.
I can't really think of anything else to say at the moment... I may come back a little later and put up more "about me" stuff. In any case, I'm glad to meet you and I look forward to working with all of you! _________________
