Captain's Log, Stardate 54055.7

After two weeks of shore leave on the Myosian world of Panthanel we are prepared to depart. I am pleased to report that the crew seems to have fully recovered from our recent ordeals. Lieutenant Uvek has recently reported for full duty and Commander Qech is due to resume her duties today. I have been informed by Lieutenant Ghan that our warp drive is fully operational and we will be ready to depart on schedule.

During our stay at Panthanel I spent time looking over the Myosian's star charts and I believe I have selected a few interesting destinations for the Hartington including a Dark Matter Nebula 7 Light Years away and a pre-warp civilization on an M-Class world 4 Light Years further. I am considering a duckblind mission to the planet after an investigation of the Nebula.

Captain's Log, Supplemental

We have ventured to the Dark Matter Nebula listed on the Myosian Star Charts. Our science department is having a field day with the analysis of the nebula, however I have to say that I am less than thrilled. Lieutenant Rhak tells me that he will require use of the main sensor array for up to 72 hours to take in a complete view of the nebula. For my part, I am more interested in taking a look at the primitive world 4 Light Years away.

The computer picks up the Captain sigh as he continues speaking.

I supposes that being Captain sometimes means that I have to sacrifice my own desires in order to complete our mission. We'll remain on station at the outskirts of the nebula until Stellar Sciences has had its fill.
