Oliver walked into sickbay, and looked around. The place looked beautiful, clean, steril, and smelt of antisceptic. Home sweet home. Walking into his office quietly, not wanting to disturb Dr. Kiv as she sat hunched over a PADD in her office, wearing a deep frown that caused her brows to meet. He sighed when he saw the pile of PADD's, admin forms and stock check request on his desk. Sitting down, and reaching for the replicator (he would rather tapp in the command than alert Kiv of his prescence) he got himself a coffee and began to work. Then he realized he wasn't actually allowed in sickbay unless he had reported back for duty with the Cheif Medical Officer, and he cursed. It wasn't that he didn't like her, he just wasn't in the mood. He was haunted by what he had witnessed on that ship, and his compulsions to do stupid things like eject the warp core were not leaving him easily. Standing up, he left his office and walked into Kiv's. "Dr, i thought i would let you know that i was back . . ."

"Dr, i thought i would let you know that i was back..."

Kiv looked up from her paperwork, grateful to have some kind of distraction, ANY kind of distraction. At the sight of her chief assistant her features brightened, clearly glad to see him returning to duty.

"Doctor Newell, I'm glad to have you back with us. I wish we had time for some small talk, Doctor, but we have a bit of a busy schedule. We need to run a complete check on the EMH systems, they were apparently damaged during the recent battle and haven't been a priority to be repaired. Lieutenant Ghan assures me that she's up and running properly but the regs say we need to give her a field test. Would you mind taking care of that for me... I've been so swamped with paperwork that I haven't been able to get to it."

The Dr smiled, he was back into the swing of things already.
"Of course Dr, right away."
Oliver smiled, and left her office, hoping that the EMH wasn't going to give him too much trouble, he wasn't that eager just yet.
