Hey, I hope I'm not out of line, but I just want to congratulate Counsellor Zeara/Dana. It takes a lot of guts to include Q into these proceedings. I'd love to see him/it take a direct part in an upcoming sequence someday, even though it may seem schtick.
I think it was neat to watch each character get involved in the scenes past. If you read all the posts, you can see the creativity and the unscripted way each player's posts manipulated the set baseline. It just takes me back to sitting at a poorly lit table, 2:00am and pulling back into a chamber while the Death knights wade in, threatening to eliminate your group. How will you escape? What spell will come out of the mage this time?
Star Trek is so open that you can take it just about anywhere, as the character stories are showing. I think we should have a category for story of the month as well. There are a couple I think we could quickly nominate: Karl Koester and Arjim Calodan spring to mind. But, it would be tough to choose, because everyone seems to grasp their characters quite well.
Anyway, just chatting, sorry if I step on anyone's toes! _________________

You never step on anyones toes Points. You are always very complimentary of everyone else's work.
Your own work is very good to read and you've put yourself into a character that could have been very weak..and instead has been a strong and fascinating character to read and work with.
I never was much for D&D, but I've done a decent amount of Star Trek and other rp on the internet. The players/characters are what makes it fun, not the setting, and we have a great cast of characters to work with. _________________

WOW..nicely said and thanks. Still not used to 'points' yet, but I guess it is better than some of my nicknames in the past.
If you go to the website link I posted, you get a whole new appreciation of the Romulan people. I had this once in a book, but only just discovered this website for myself. I was surprised how well Uvek is coming about as well. It's like a lot of RP characters. You never really know them until you play them.
You are right for sure about the cast here. _________________

lol I'm reminded of the episode of TNG when Picard accidentally referred to Lt. Barclay as "Mr. Broccoli." _________________

thank you for the compliment. I don't know how deserving of it I am though! Q was always one of my favorite characters, and it served the purpose to my character and fit her story. I would love to bring him into the storyline as a seperate character, or even just something as simple as a plot mover. Perhaps I'll submit him in an application....
wow I'm tired, I don't know if that made sense or not! _________________

Just remember to check the restricted aliens list. i think Q is a no-no for player characters, if that's what you meant. _________________

Nothing says you cant write up the character and send it the Captain and let the Captain decide if he wants to use it as an NPC though. We have room for TONS of npcs _________________

true. I think most have a general fear of many people trying to play a Q character... and given the level of power that a Q contains, most I feel would abuse the privilege of playing such a character. I just enjoy using him to pester my character... which is why he'll only show up randomly, rarely and always while my character is in some form of non-conscious state. Perhaps someday if the Captain decides that they would be a useful tool to the Simm I may just petition him as an NPC.... though I may just take your advice and ask him! _________________

I can understand the allure. But, it would seem to me to be like playing Herculese in D&D or Superman in Champions. Virtually indestructible, leaving the rest of us mortals to struggle along, or instantly being able to solve the problem. And, provided he gets limited in some way, then what's the point? He would just be another crew member, albeit one with advanced capabilities.
Still, I like the idea of him popping in and out of your life, and wouldn't mind a mission with him tormenting the Hartington, provided the captain uses an NPC leash on him...LOL _________________
