Well folks, after a full week of toiling (I have clocked over 40 hours), thousands (2.2k at last count) of lines of code have been written, checked, debugged, rewritten, cursed at, and finally released.
While most everything is still in a state of "incompleteness", I am now confident enough to show off what I have been working on to more then just the limited subset that have seen it already.
Go check out http://aherrington.homeunix.org/stargazer
A lot of sections are still lacking content. There are broken links, broken images, and a lot of the nav still hasn't been 100% locked down...but this is all coming. Right now, I am just nearing an exhaustion point and am going to take a 2 day break before I lose my mind.
Any questions, comments, or criticisms will be greatly appreciated. Please poke at it and see how things look and feel. Right now, the data is bogus (Dont worry, the USS Calodan isn't coming soon) and is just filler to show off function.
Now I am going to go rest my eyes, neck, and soak my fingers in an epsom salts bath. Back to the grind on wednesday. _________________

I said I would get back to work on stargazer on Wednesday and I am true to my word.
Besides locking the Cap'n out (sorry!), I managed to flesh out the Ships section as well as the "Contact Us" page.
Please, look and express opinions on the functionality of the pages. The pages look best in Firefox on a Windows machine, but render fine in IE 7&8, Google Chrome, Camino, and Safari 4. If you use some esoteric or old browser on a daily basis and need the site to work for you, please check it out and look for glitches. I ask this because I know that SMS doesnt work in Chrome so I am working hard for cross-browserness. _________________

nice. looking good. If you want help with the written works, I'd like to toss in my name for that. I'm a wiz with the words, and love any excuse to write! perhaps someday I'll get bold enough to re-work my webpage... someday.... _________________

Well folks, on time and under budget, the project is done (barring a bit of content from the Cap'n).
62 hours of coding, 21,755 lines of code written, and it is finished.
Thats right folks. Including external libraries and things that I had already written, stargazer weighs in at a whopping 230,836 lines.
As soon as the Cap'n and I get some time to put our heads together, I'll get it up and running on the new server and set him loose on configuring it.
I'll let him do the official announcement of the new site and all that jazzy stuff. Im tired and am going to bed. _________________
