She took a deep breath as she wandered into the sick bay to seek out professor Kolar. She had no idea what she would say to the man, considering she too had unaware of the Dominion War. Granted, she'd done enough research on the subject that she could at least advise him of the basic details, but she was still at least able to comfort him should things turn for the worst.

"Greetings" she directed toward the medical officer on duty. "I am here to see Professor Kolar, Captain's orders." she said with a smile.

OOC: If nobody has anything to say, I'm going to take the chance to have Azmay interact with another player character.

As Doctor Kiv had gone out for a moment, Cadet Azmay raised es head from the data padd e was working on, and stopped writing an assignment about the anatomical differences between es people, the Loráby proper, and Humans.

On noticing the Counselor's presence, Azmay quickly built a mental wall around es mind. The Ab-Loraben had discovered the hard way, after a desastrous incident between a group of Loraby and a delegation from the Federation, that Lorabyn minds could damage those unfamiliar with them if approached carelessly, so all Loraby in Federation space were trained in defensive techniques before leaving Lorab.

Azmay was not worried about es privacy, but about damaging the Counsellor's mind. However, e also suspected that the Ab-Loraben were also slightly afraid of the Betazoid.

E stood up, and leaned es head to the right, trying not to tower over the Counsellor (E is 6 feet, 10.68 inches to the Counsellor's 6.0 feet)

"Of course, Counselor. Please let this one guide you to the Professor."

feeling the energy in the room shift subtly as the being blocked off it's mind she looked up and smiled, it felt rather nice not to be the tallest in a group. "that would be welcomed. Thank you"

Shooting in the dark, but wishing to be in the safe side, Cadet Azmay replied:

"Please follow this one, Counselor. And please forgive this one if you noticed anything... This one was not being impolite, but just wanted to protect you from harm. It is just that e is not used to taking such measures, and so e is not very subtle."

Cadet Azmay's olfactory feathers, the two crinoid-like structures over es eyes, subtly moved as e spoke.

E proceeded to walk the Counselor to the room where Professor Kolar was resting. As they went along the corridor, e straightened up, but kept es head leant to the right, keeping es gaze at the same level than Counselor Zeara's.

"Counselor, this one does not know how much you are familiar with es people, but e would like to say that it has been discovered that contact with the Lorábyn mind can be dangerous for those not familiar with its structure. If you have any questions you think this one could help you with, this one would be ready to go to your office and discuss them with you. In fact, e would like to ask you to give em some advice as a Counselor"

enjoying the honesty offered up by the being beside her, she couldn't help but smile.

"I must say that I do appreciate your consideration for my safety. I myself have been in such situations as you find yourself in..." she let her words linger in a moment of silence as she thought back on her life since Q graced her.

"I am not familiar with your people at all, but would enjoy learning about them. I am always seeking to improve my knowledge of that which I have none of. I'm sure you are aware of my office location, and I can set aside a moment of time for you if you would like." She spoke with a calm and level voice enjoying the fact that she felt nothing from the being beside her other than a physical presence.

"Then this one will visit you soon. Now, e will leave you to see Professor Kolar. This one must come back to the paper e is writing. By your leave, Counselor"

Cadet Azmay straightens up, nods to the Counselor when dismissed, and goes back to es workspace, in Sickbay.

Professor Kolar lay in his bed, reading over a PADD. The Cardassian's wounds had been healed, at least mostly. Doctor Kiv had given him leave to go some time ago, but his loyalty to the Hukana currently in stasis outweighed his desire for the comforts of an actual bed. He sat up as the Counselor approached, wiping away the streaks left by tears from his cheeks. Of course, Kolar did his best to hide his apparent sadness. With a smile he faced her.

"I was advised that one of the famous Starfleet Counselors would be coming to see me. Come to make sure that five years marooned on that desolate world didn't break my mind?"

Nodding to Azmay in dissmissal she walked toward the Cardassian laying on a bed trying to keep himself busy. She smiled softly as she approached him, her hands releasing from behind her back to hang casually at her sides.

"I was advised that one of the famous Starfleet Counselors would be coming to see me. Come to make surethat five years marooned on that desolate world didn't break my mind?"

Standing next to his bed, hesitant to make a physical contact, she made sure that the shields of her mind were well in place. The last thing she needed was any form of unconscious transfer of information.

"That amoung other things Professor. The Captian has sent me to you to... brief you on what you missed in the last five years. I do not know how effect I will be in delivering said information, but I shall try to answer any questions you may have." She spoke softly as she sat on the edge of the bed.

"I'm not sure what you've heard or been told, but there has been a rather important... event... that happened while you were stranded on the planet." She paused a moment as she searched for the words to best explain something she herself didn't know terribly much about.

Professor Kolar's eyes glistened as he looked down to his PADD, handing it to the Counselor. On it was a detailed account of the recent war against the Dominion.

"If you're referring to the war, Counselor, I am have been made aware."

feeling the sadness radiate from him, she had to struggle to keep her own emotions in check. She felt just as lost and confused with the war as many were, but she had to be the strong one in this situation.

"I see. Is there anything you wish to talk about in regards to it? Did you loose anyone in the war?"

She sat on the edge of the bed with her hands folded in her lap. A portrait of etiquette, something she prided herself on.

Oliver walked into sickbay, analysing the electrocardiogram on his P.A.D.D.
He looked up, suddenly aware of a presence in the room. It was the chief counselor, speaking softly to the Professor who lay awkwardly, listening.
His omnipresence on the ship made Oliver feel somewhat uncomfortable, for no apparent reason.
Suddenly he realised he had interrupted, so he buried himself intently into the nearest lcars panel he could find, and blocked out thier hushed words.
