Uvek turned to the ambassador. Hearing the Counselor's pronouncement on Professor Kolar reassured him, and eased the security burden, but now it was time to dig.

"What about it, Mr. Rolen?" he asked again. "How is it that you suddenly have relevant information about this planet, when just yesterday you avoided acknowledging anything at all? Where and when did you retrieve this information and how much more should we know?"

Uvek's face was getting slightly greener. He willed himself to calm down, knowing his anger would only cloud Zeara's take on the Vorta.

Just once, he thought to himself, just once I'd like to be Uvek from....Romulus, again. He caught himself just before the words Tal Shiar escaped his mind.

The ever-smiling Ambassador was about to respond to Lieutenant Uvek's questions -- no doubt with a razor wit -- but the Captain beat him to the punch.

"Those are very good questions, Lieutenant, but here and now are not the time to be asking them. If you'd like to... discuss this with the Ambassador further, I suggest you arrange for a time to meet with him in the security office."

Brennon looked squarely at Rolen now, his tone almost threatening.

"You will accommodate the Lieutenant, won't you Ambassador?"

With a bow of his head, Ambassador Rolen conceded the point.

"Of course, Captain. I would be happy to enlighten the Lieutenant on all of my Intelligence techniques at his leisure."

Without waiting for his Security Officer to agree the Captain pressed on with the meeting's agenda.

"There is one last piece of business to cover here. We'll need to relocate the Hukana we have in sickbay back down to the surface... preferably far, far away from the more violent ones influenced by the other Cardassians. Using information recovered from the downed Cardassian ship's memory core, as well as our own scans of the surface, we've selected a handful of sites that would be suitable for us to reintroduce the Hukana into their society. Once we've settled them in we'll leave orbit and proceed back to the Wormhole to drop the Professor off at DS9, from there..."

The Captain was interrupted by the Professor clearing his throat. His meek appearance starting to fade away now that he had been vindicated.

"Captain, if I may... I'd like to speak with you about remaining on board the Hartington."

Brennon looked down the table towards the Professor, a little weary of his request.

"We'll discuss it. For now I want to focus on getting your friends back down to the surface. Once they're settled in you and I can have a little chat about your fate. Any questions? Good, dismissed."

(OOC: At this time I'm going to jump the story forward a little. The next piece of the main storyline will take place four days later, right before the Hartington's rendezvous with USS Guardian I encourage everyone to either start a secondary storyline or participate in one. Mr. Uvek can have his "conversation" with Rolen, Calodan can finally get his poker game in [which I hope everyone is invited to!]. Whatever you can think of to pass the time. Maybe a trip to the holodeck or the Counselor's office. They sky's the limit! Keep an eye out for a new Captain's Log and Main Storyline Scene.)
