Task Force: Gamma

Location: Sickbay, USS Guardian
Prior to meeting the Hartington.

Character: Commander Gaer

Reluctantly, the Tellarite stepped off of the turbolift and made his way down the hall towards sickbay. Of all the ships in the fleet... he thought sullenly as he stomped off towards his fate. No fewer than three repair technicians had to leap out of his way, all the while the Commander seemingly oblivious to the terror he left in his wake.

I have my own terror to confront.

He stopped at the doorway, not quite ready to go in and was in fact about to turn around when another crewmen, a young Ensign who's name Gaer didn't know, slid by him and into the jaws of the beast itself...

"COMMANDER GAER!" called the voice of the ship's Chief Medical Officer as she spotted him.

Gaer's brown face blanched several shades lighter as he stepped into Sickbay, as though the Bolian had a hand held tractor beam trained on him. He was consigned to his fate and with a breath he greeted the Doctor.

"I'm here for my physical, Doctor."

Talbert got off the bio-bed. He had just run the full range of updates and checks. Physically he was in prime shape.

Now that that nightmare was over (Talbert hated physicals, though he loved being physical), he was free to head to the gym.

"Thanks, doc," he said. He pulled his tunic back on and grinned. "Never met a lady who got me out of my shirt so fast!" He moved toward the door, nodding at his First officer. "Don't bend over." He said with a wicked smile. Let the Tellerite figure that out...he laughed inside as he headed to deck 15 for a bit of fun.

Character: Dr. Uroki

"Never met a lady who got me out of my shirt so fast!"

Dr. Uroki laughed. "Well, they just weren't trying hard enough! A little elbow grease goes a long way." She looked down to her medical tricorder and tapped out a few things on the console. "Remember, Commander Talbert. Carrot juice, every morning. It will clear that right up." Looking up past the Ops Officer she saw the familiar form of a particularly grumpy-looking Tellerite lurking in the doorway.

"Well well well. I thought I'd have to rope and hog tie you just to get you down here- ah, no offense. Come in! Sit down. Get comfortable. I have some cookies here for anyone that wants them. Oat Bran. Very tasty. And good for the bowels. You of all people should have a nice plateful, Commander Gaer."

She tossed a plate of cookies at him as he reluctantly sat down on the biobed, and began scanning him with his medical tricorder. "Better. Much much better. I trust you took the advice I gave you last time. Your cholesterol has gone down. It's not perfect, but it's an improvement. Now, open your mouth, I wanna take a look at those pipes..."
