"What you need to do is rest, recover. We'll take care of everything."
Qech took a deep breath and sat up a little bit, flinching slightly as she did so. Damn, I must have landed just right. She looked at the Captain and shook her head.
"Well Sir, I won't exactly be 'recovering' from everything..." She looked toward doctor Kiv, and back to Brennon. "I'm not sure how much Dr. Kiv told you..." _________________

"I'm not sure how much Dr. Kiv told you..."
He waved her off, knowing where she was going... and that he was surprisingly fine with the whole prospect. Besides, she'd need a friend after all that's happened. And all that's coming...
"I know. We'll take care of that too."
He smiled and put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"It's all going to be okay, Davynn." _________________

All she felt was relief, at least for the time being; a welcome feeling after what had been possessing her since their last discussion. She smiled up at him, feeling a little bit lighter, despite the concussion.
"Thank you, Sir." She looked back over at Calodan, who was still keeping his post by her side and gave him a smile. The stress and confusion of the day was stretching her emotions as far as they would go, and now she just felt like sleeping. It felt better to know she at least didn't have to go through everything alone.
She pointed toward her head. "Well, I'd better let Dr. Kiv fix this up so I can sleep. I'm not sure how much longer I can stay awake to be honest... But I appreciate your making the trip. I really do, both of you." She smiled a little, looking over at Calodan. "Even if the lieutenant here didn't have much of a choice." _________________

"You're welcome Commander. I would have come, even if I didn't have to." With that, he stood. "When you want to talk, you know where to find me. Captain." He left sickbay and headed down the hall to the turbolift. _________________

As Calodan was turning to leave, Qech called out:
"Oh, Jim!... Save a seat for me at the next poker game." She smiled. "I still have to kick your ass." _________________

OOC: I'm going to close out this scene. Anyone who wants to continue with the events of the day or any of the days after start up a secondary storyline. The tales of the USS Hartington pick up after a two and a half month gap of time. New Years Eve, 2376 (Stardate 53998.1). If you want to develop what's happened to your character over the intervening time please go ahead and start up a few secondary scenes. _________________
