Ma'am,

As you've no doubt seen my service record, perhaps it might be best I visit LTJG Solek, ship's counselor. I've seen other counselors before, but for some reason the anger still remains. I remain hopeful I can be helped, however.

Respectfully,

Karl Koester
Petty Officer First Class
USS Hartington Master at Arms.

Well, it seems you've just spared me a healthy dose of aggravation. *laughs* I do agree that it may be a good idea if you feel you have some hostilities to mend. I had plans to visit him myself when I get the chance.

Well, I'm curious as to why I was allowed onboard this vessel. More than a few captains and first officers who'd seen my record or even read statements from past counselor visits believe I should be psychiatrically discharged in light of wartime service.

Well Mr. Koester, I do hope you don't take this personally, but those were my concerns when it came down to choosing people for the away team. Confined spaces and post-traumatic stress aren't good bedfellows. I may not know the exact reasons for your being posted here, but I can give you my opinion on the matter; I don't believe good troops are to be thrown away the moment they get a bit shaken. If you didn't have the capacity to heal, you wouldn't be here. And clearly you're needed. Of course, that's just my humble take on the matter.

I figured you had your reasons and I rarely question decisions of that nature. I simply provide input as needed.
