USS Hartington
PO3 Smith
"Petty Officer Smith to Chief Vek - I'm on deck 23, and a little busy at the moment... can you pop down here and help me cook some goose?"
Smith went back to exchanging fire with the bird-man. Smith was behind a bulkhead in the corridor, and had a pretty good visual on the singular alien, until more kept popping in from the aliens' vessel. _________________

USS Hartington
Chief Brin Vek
Brin was just about to fire when his combadge chirped to life.
"Petty Officer Smith to Chief Vek - I'm on deck 23, and a little busy at the moment... can you pop down here and help me cook some goose?"
Brin jumped at the sound, both of the aliens turned his direction, and Brin dove sideways, firing. The first alien went down without a shot, the second strafed the wall as he went down. Brin stood, shaking slightly, then tapped his combadge.
"Yes Mr. Smith, on my way." He jogged to the nearest jeffries tube access and opened the panel. _________________

"Chief, I'm covering you with sniper fire from Deck 22, keep heading for Smith's position." Koester said as he snapped off another shot that killed a second intruder who fell with a smoking hole in his chest. |

Chief Brin Vek
"Acknowledged" Brin climbed down the jeffries tube ladder. It only took a moment to reach deck 23, he stepped off the ladder and opened the access panel, holding his phaser ready. An alien is standing right in front of the access panel, but he drops as he turns to the sound of the panel opening. Brin doesn't know if it was Koester or Smith, but either way he lets out a gust of air. That was close. He pulls himself into the corridor, staying in a crouch. He checks both ways, for the moment the hallway is clear. Brin starts jogging in Smith's direction. _________________

Assuming there was no one in Sickbay -as no one replied to es call-, Ensign Azmay stopped, and tried to contact PO Koester.
"Azmay to Koester. This one is on es way to the Team Room. What is happening, sir?" |

As she reached the turbolift, fulling expecting it to just slide open, she stopped short as she remembered...
"Dammit!" she cursed under her breath at the fact that she'd have to climb up several decks to reach the team room, or climb down several decks to reach the others fighting the good fight. She stood there a for moment, trying to decide what to do.
Tapping her combadge she asked the only question she could.
"Zeara to Captain Brennon, do you still wish us to meet you in the team room, or shall I try to assist on deck 23?" _________________

Koester snapped of a round that drilled a hole through the skull of one of the aliens headed to the Jeffries tube that Chief Vek had entered.
He tapped his comm badge after Azmay's call: "Sir, we've been boarded by hostile aliens on the lower decks, engaging them now."
Koester fired another TR 116 round killing another pursuing alien. |

Smith was still behind the bulkhead when time slowed down. The bird man came out of nowhere and picked Smith up, knocking him across the hall.
Smith stood up, a little shaky from having his wind knocked out of him... but aimed his Phaser in time to catch another bird man center mass. His fingers must've slipped somehow, because this bird man disintigrated before him, alowing the first bird man to appear again, only to meet the same fate.
"Smith to all personnel in the Area of Deck 23... Area is secure, and standing by for dammage control team."
Smith saw an opportunity to protect this ship he loved so dear... So he set his phaser to overload, and tossed it through the opening to the bird man ship. He didn't realize this would sever this particular portal and expose himself to the vaccum of deep space. _________________

remembering his Vaccum training at STF Cape May back on Earth, Smith ran as fast as he could with a lungfull of air, and pushed himself through the compartment's door.
Once outside, on the main corridor, he caught his breath, sealed the door, and retrieved a new phaser from one of the emergency lockers on the wall.
"Phew," he thought to himself, "just gotta wait for dammage control, then its off to fight some more."
"Petty Officer Smith to Petty Officer Koester... upon arrival of Dammage Control, where am I needed?" _________________

Ensign Azmay rushed to the Team Room, doing es best to avoid any areas in which there could be alien activity, but always ready to help any crew members. |

The Captain's voice calls out from Zeara's combadge.
"Work with the security personnel on 23, repel the boarders. Engineering has managed to re-route enough power to give us limited phasers, we can't maneuver very quickly. We're beating off another one of these damned raiders at the moment, we just need to get the first set off the ship." _________________

"Mr. Smith, report."
"I cleared out the Botanical Gardens of our guests, and tossed my phaser into the gainway they made. Blasted it out of our hull, and sealed off the area. The dammage control teams just arrived and are sealing us up, so I did a deck search. No more bird men here Chief."
"Petty Officer Smith to Liutenant Zeara - Can you secure the Turbolift on Deck 23 for us, we need Security to do a deck by deck and make sure we got them all. Ensign Tanay, did you copy that sir?" _________________

USS Hartington Deck 23
Chief Brin Vek
Brin nodded, then went to the nearest control panel to see if he could get some kind of response from the internal sensors. Half the ODN conduits on the ship are fried it seems like.
"Internal sensors seem to be functioning on decks 23-20 but there is a gap at 19, we may still have some intruders there." _________________

Once Smith had been relieved by a Security Team, Smith, Vek and company took the turbolift to Deck 19. Smith stepped out, phaser at the ready and swept left to right, as did his entourage.
"Chief, I'm going to move ahead a few doors... cover me while I inspect the Cargo Bays. Lt. Zeara, follow me?" _________________
