Lieutenant JG Daniel Carlton tugged on the sleeve of his tunic as he adjusted the shoulder strap of his travel bag. He touched the chime for the captain's office as he waited outside.

He had recently been assigned to the USS Guardian as a medical officer. He wasn't a finished doctor and more of a physician's assistant/paramedic type who specialized in Search and Rescue operations.

Marek looked up from the PADD he was studying, "Enter."

"Sir. Lieutenant JG Carlton reporting as ordered." Carlton said as he walked in with the PADD containing his orders to report to USS Guardian.

Marek motions to the seat, "At ease, Lt. The medical team will benefit from your presence. We have been short handed in the medical department." He glances at the PADD, " Do you have any questions or requests?"

"Not really sir." Carlton replied: "I'd just like to meet the CMO and introduce myself."

Marek stands and offers his hand, "Welcome to the crew, Lt. I will let you get to work, I am sure Dr. Uroki will welcome your help."
