I'm not really into those kinds of games, but I may try it if it has a free trial. |

So after many patches, days without the server being up, and me not having time when it was, I got to actually play a for about 40 minutes, before the server went down. So far it is very promising, I'll try not to be too much of a spoiler, but let's say my Vulcan Ensign Marek in the game is already Captain of the Miranda Class vessel Guardian. It's a little alarming they have so many bugs still when the game is going live next month, but if they can work the bugs out I think it will be an awesome game. More to come, but I thought I would tease a little. _________________

It's killing me, everytime I have some time to play I spend all of it downloading patches, maybe I will have better luck today. _________________

Got our client downloaded and we spent about an hour playing tonight!
IT IS AWESOME!
Ensign David Brennon is commanding the Miranda-class USS Hartington, and is currently down on Vega Colony rescuing the town's people from the Borg... then the server went down.
All in all, AMAZING! It'll be even better when the game goes live. _________________

Yea, I got to play some more, had to start over. But I noticed another Guardian flying around while I was playing. I think it's just a coincidence, but hey still cool. Noticed that there were more bugs than last time, hope that's not a sign. Open beta is a lot more fun tho, a lot more people playing than the closed, actually got to interact a little. _________________

Lt(3) Arjim Calodan is flying the USS Reliance around.
I've had decent luck with the servers because I tend to play in the early AM. It's a lot of fun..but Im not a fan of ground combat _________________

I'd have to agree, the ship sequences are a lot more fun, the ground combat is pretty repetitive and unrealistic. They might make some adjustments tho, isn't enough to kill the enjoyment, I think this game might be worth a subscription, even with my limited playing time. _________________

So we're playing it again tonight, but we're waiting for the next mission to load... have you guys gotten to the part where you have to rescue the freighter (SS Azura or something like that)? I'm finding the load time to be VERY bad... could be a beta glytch, the rest of the loads were just fine. I'm also amused at the fact the first time I beamed into spacedock I was still my ship and when I beamed back I was a person floating in space. very amusing.
We are LOVING the game so far, can't wait to keep playing. _________________

Long load times are to be expected. If you have something abnormally long (5-10 minutes) you should probably quit the client and come back _________________
