I'm currently upgrading my pc to windows 7 so hopefully it does not puke and die. Anyone else a pc fan? Or are there a bunch of mac lovers around here? _________________

I have windows from microsoft, but I don't do much more than surf, cut-n-paste, so it doesn't bother me.
But, there are times I wish that windows would open up and let me go from screen to screen like it advertises!
That said, oh well. _________________

I run a multitude of operating systems.
On my main box I am running Windows 7 64 bit and am quite happy with it. I am usually a very late adopter when it comes to Microsoft products (I never used Vista) but I hopped into Win7 in the early betas and it hasnt let me down yet.
As for Macs, I have a Hackintosh at my desk and use a 22" imac at work. My laptop also boots up into OSX.
I also use Linux a fair amount. _________________

I have finally committed my main comp to Windows 7 64 bit, since I was pulling the motherboard and putting a new one in, it's the least I could do.
Current specs
Athlon X3 running at 2.9ghz (unlocked 4 core and it crashed bummer)
4gb ddr2 800 ram
500 gb main drive
400 gb secondary drive
Geforce 9600 GSO video card 764 mhz ram
gets a 5.9 score for the slow hard disks, could be 6.6 with a raid array. _________________

I'm just running Windows Microsoft XP, and it does ok. I have not had a problem on this index, but sometimes a multiple application can really have problems, particularly on Facebook or other popup apps.
Still, everything is good so far. _________________

I'm actually buying a brand new computer tonight (online, so I have to wait for shipping). It will have Windows 7 standard. I've never used Vista (haven't heard too many good things about it. In fact this seems like the fastest Microsoft has ever replaced a current OS).
My current computer has been faithful and true, but she took a hard hit during the ice storm we got up here December of last year. I was downloading something (don't even remember what) and there was a power surge. Now the poor thing seems to have the PC version of Alzheimers. We were lucky though. Millions of people went without power and heat for days (my uncle died in the cold). The only reason we were spared is because we're on a priority power grid near the hospital.
Sadly though, it's time to replace ol' betsy. So, I'll be giving windows 7 a try soon. _________________
