Just a heads-up: My computer is infected with a worm, one that Norton Antivirus can't seem to find or fix. As a result, I can't even log into windows anymore. As I said in the "Windows 7" thread, I've recently ordered a new computer (and I'm convinced that's why my old one decided to do this to me now... It knows) but it won't be delivered until midway through February. So, until then, I'm S.O.L.
Thankfully, I can still check up on the posts via Tom's laptop. But I may not be as frequent with them, considering I won't be getting direct updates. I'll try and make sure there's no noticeable lag in my posting, but if there is, I apologize.
One other thing I should mention: If at any point between now and when I have my own computer again you see Qech posting as Capt. Brennon, or Vice Versa, well it just means that someone forgot to log in. We'll try to avoid that, but I'm a creature of habit, if nothing else, so since I'm not used to having to log in I'll probably make that mistake. Consider yourselves warned.
*sniffles* I want my computer back. _________________

Your computer doesn't deserve you, if it's going to treat you like that! You're better off with a new one! LOL
All the best. _________________

I only use AVG for my antivirus needs, but when I'm fixing other people's pc's I often end up using Malwarebytes AntiMalware. That program seems to kill everything _________________

okay all... so my life has recently gone to supernova as I've finally gotten a second job, and now trying to figure out how to work over 40 hours a week, see my play through hell week and deal with my new duties as a board member... so I may be a bit lagging over the next few days as I work things out... I'll post something friday night (as I actually have a chance to sleep soon...) _________________

So, after DC got 40 some odd inches of snow over a week..I had had enough. First flight of there I took. Im spending the week (Feb 13-Feb 21) with friends and family in Texas. Currently, I dont have internet access besides tethering my G1 to my Netbook. It's slow so posting will be a bit..sporadic.
That being said, if there is something important I need to be involved in, send me a PM. My phone checks my emails and yells at me and all the PMs shoot through to my email.
Now, I'm gonna put on some shorts, my flip-flops, and enjoy 50 degree weather. _________________

First off, I want to say that I hate Andrew and he can stick his 50 degree weather! *sulk*
Second, my new computer is here! Woot! I'm really liking Windows 7. The only crappy part is, my photoshop exe file (which I had on my portable hard drive) is damaged, so I am currently waiting for yet another delivery. Nice part is, it will be a completely legitimate version of the program (my first ever non-bootleg!) so I can take advantages of cheaper upgrades from now on. But, of course this means any graphics for the site (avatars, badges etc.) will have to wait until my right arm gets here. Yes, I fully consider the program to be a body part, or as good as!... I can't function without it!
But I'm pleased to say that I made it through the entire computer-less ordeal without having once accidentally posted as Captain Brennon! Yay! A personal best!.... worship me, please. _________________

I thought you did GREAT posting during the struggle! No computer could hold you back! I miss Liam Mctavish, but I look forward to seeing what new avatars you come up with when you get the parts you need....that is part of what makes this simm so unique. I have checked out a number of simms to see what recruiting and posting issues they have, and this one stands out in my mind as giving you a visual point of reference for your character! I CONSTANTLY refer to Uvek for his 'thoughts' and use that image to keep in character (not to mention the Gamma personnel pages).
GOOD FOR YOU! CALODAN: My folks live in South-west Texas and I have long since stopped being envious of them, so you are on your OWN! LOL _________________

Just for that, I'm gonna start having Qech call you 'Lt. Uvula' on a regular basis!
And I'm glad you enjoy the avatars. I make them when asked so I don't step on people's toes (in case they want to make their own or something), and Smith requested one the other day so that's probably the first thing I'll be doing when the program arrives. _________________

I think that did not come out right.....
I meant good for you (Qech)
and the statement to Calodan was just on the same line....OOOP.....
I'm not sure Uvek would know what an uvula is...but that is pretty funny! _________________

Really? That's too bad, because his medical vocabulary is missing an especially funny word.
Just one more thing for him to discover. Ah, I can see it now...
UVEK: "What is a Uvula?"
QECH: "It's that little dangly thing."
UVEK: (looks down)
QECH: "Not that little dangly thing!" _________________

I just about died when I read Qech's post. Oh that's gotta happen sometime in a story, that would be hilarious. _________________

This past Thursday there was a massive winter storm that rocked the north east corner of the United States. Over a million homes and businesses lost power, internet, cable and telephone services. In my home state alone over 330,000 people have lost utilities, including my home. We are among the lucky ones who've had our utilities restored fairly quickly... during the ice storm of 2008 there were people without utilities in their homes for nearly a month! I'll be posting tomorrow after I get home from work, as for tonight, I'm going to be taking advantage of a nice hot shower and the novelty of turning the lights on and off. _________________
