Only two points...

If Spock had kissed Uhura one more time, I would have charted a plane, found JJ Abrams and beat him to death!

The ship looked a little anorexic. I like the nacelles and the opening deflector dish, but the engineering and shuttle bay looked a bit too skinny for me.....

NOW, two approvals....

I thought the character of McCoy was spot on! "Are you out of your Vulcan mind? You green-blooded hobgoblin".....I also did like the storyline and I thought it was very plausible in the Star Trek genre.

Finally, I saw Kirk for the first time in the sequence when he finally assumes command and lays his comments to spock....sitting in the chair as captain.....OK, that said,
Spock better not be married to Uhura in the next one, or I'm definitely fire-bombing Abram's house!

Ah my legal copy of Star Trek just arrived today. Makes me want to watch it, again... I loved McCoy, and Spock. The rest were good, but you can't beat McCoy, he's perfect!

Yeah...I especially loved how he worked Kirk onboard...pretty clever writing. Also, the interaction with Spck was cool....I went back in time and saw it. Given what I remember about the original series, Kirk was the youngest captain, he got a commendation for creative thinking for the Kobyashi Maru scenario, and Spock and he did have their share of run-ins...

well done on that level.

Here's the best part to me. Dana was not even interested in Star Trek until I started simming here. The more she read my stories and saw how we were working together as a team, she started suggesting things that Uvek would do. Then she started watching TNG and TOS with me, and finally suggested she'd like to see the new one.

The worst part to me....this is the only Star Trek she truly knows....UGH. Oh well.
