It sounds like fun I guess. |

I'm not really into those kinds of games, but I may try it if it has a free trial. |

I was eventually knocked offline a few times before I was able to continue. It was pretty bad, but the issue was corrected. _________________

So I played for about 3 hours on Saturday, tried a different sector, upgraded my ship, changed classes, did all sorts of missions. While I think with the bugs fixed it's a fun game, I'm just not sure if it's monthly subscription fun. So far, except for a few battles that I was able to do with some other players, I see no difference between this and a single player game except for the chat. I've never played an MMO before so I may have missed something, but so far I haven't seen any reason besides dollars why they couldn't have made this a stand alone with online play. I'm just a little disappointed I guess I don't know, what do you guys think? _________________

The game goes officially live today, though I won't be joining in on the action until after Alaina's new computer arrives here in the middle of the month. Has anyone had a chance to play the live version yet? _________________

I actually cancelled my preorder. I was was highly disappointed in the beta and "head start" weekend and have heard reports of lots of issues with downtime and heavy server lag.
Basically, what I feared happen would happen...Star Trek: Online got shipped around through three dev teams and just isnt ready for release. _________________

I agree, I never did preorder, and am waiting to see if the game has some of it's issues ironed out. When it comes down to it, I don't have enough play time to make any sort of subscription worth it. Especially if it's glitchy, laggy and less than fully realized. Keep us updated tho, if it starts improving I just might go ahead and buy it, I did enjoy playing when things were working. _________________
