Lenara's fingers flew across the console.

"I am attempting to reconstitute the file structure using a recursive algorithm, you should be getting useful data in a few minutes."

Lieutenant Elen nodded at Leanara's words, noting her 'all business' tone of voice as she did so. Clearly the engineer wasn't the sort to joke around when there was work to be done. She turned back to her console.

"Something's coming now," she agreed. Her eyes moved quickly over the text as it appeared on her screen. "We were right," she said a moment later, disgust tingeing her tone. "It was the entities. A number of them converged and attacked this ship. They caused all this damage." She shook her head. "I guess we were lucky they didn't do the same thing to the Guardian. Yet, that is."

She tapped her commbadge and quickly caught Commander Kuplo up on what they'd discovered. "I think we should be very cautious around these aliens, sir," she ended. "If the Guardian's sensors pick them up we should scoot...that is, I think we should back off immediately."

Myosian Ship
Lt Cmdr Mehvra-Kuplo

"Indeed, unless we can come up with some sort of defense, I fully agree. Ok, see if you two can get some propulsion operational to move the ship out of the nebula. We may have to tow it, but moving it under its own power would be better.

Lt's sh'Tahl and Solana, please report in, what has your survey of the ship uncovered?"

(OOC: we'll see if they are available, if not, we can move forward without them.)

ACTION

After nearly an hour, Elen and Lenara are able to reinitialize the warp core. Although much of the antimatter is spent, there is enough output to begin restoring power to the ship, and, once reserves are restored, to propel the ship outside of the nebula.

Back on the Guardian, Lt. McKenna Thomas looks up from the ops console in alarm.

"Captain! I am detecting energy signatures consistent with the entity we were attacked by earlier. Four, no make that five, approaching at roughly 1/8 impulse."

Marek stood, approaching the viewscreen.

"Put it on the main viewer."

The sphere's looked ominous, somehow, even though the light show was beautiful.

"Red alert, shields and weapons at maximum. Hail the away team."

Myosian Ship
Lt Cmdr Mehvra-Kuplo

After meeting up with sh'Tahl and Solana, Mehv helps them complete the survey of the ship. They find that the life-pods were ejected and only a skeleton crew of officers remained aboard the ship as it went dead in space. Around twenty bodies were found. There is very little damage to the ship itself aside from a few energy discharge marks that are consistent with the energy being's effect on the Guardian's hallways and bulkheads.

Mehv starts reaching for his comm badge to check-in when it chirps with an incoming link. "Guardian to away team."

"Go ahead Guardian..."

OOC: Sorry we didn't respond sooner. We'll keep on top of it from this point. I can't wait till it moves over to the new forum.
