Okay, I just wanted to ask this now so that I could get things underway if need be. A few people already have names and positions for their characters and I've gotten badge requests. My question: did you want me to make the badges now, or are you going to try and get everything running at once?
If the answer is 'badges now' (and this is directed to everyone who is playing a character on the station) don't forget to PM me your character information.
Character's full name
Rank
Official position (ie: chief science officer, security, flight control etc...)
Also, please mention which posting this is for (ie Alterran Station, Hartington, Guardian) even if it's obvious, just so I can keep everything straight.
Thanks! _________________

Ok,
On behalf of Dana, I'm making the play for a badge now.
Her character is:
Ensign Lillian Rayle
Communications Specialist
Deep Space 27
Gamma Quadrant
Love the badge idea and looking forward to the time she hits 100 posts, so we can see what she looks like! _________________

I'm going out on a limb and saying that the badges can arrive whenever you are ready. _________________

What do you mean by this? I don't recall a post saying someone gets an avatar at 100 posts or any post mark. All I remember is Alaina saying that she can and will make them if she's asked, but that she didn't want to make them for people just because they've joined or just because they hit a requisite post count.
Remember, she doesn't mind making them, but she needs to be asked, they're NOT a given.
Also, do we want the badges to say Deep Space 27 or do we want them to say Alterran Station? Silly little distinction, but an important one! _________________

Guys, please send the badge and avatar info to Davynn Qech via PM. Those of you who have already posted up here, please resend the info to her via the PM system. Even I did it, and I live with her. This is so that she has a record in one place that is the same for everyone. Perhaps at a later time I'll start a similar thread for her in the TF general area, but for now please send them to her using a PM. thank you. _________________

Like Tom said, if you PM me her character description, she'll get an avatar. She doesn't have to wait for 100 posts. I just prefer that people ask me first, so I'm not being overly presumptuous. (plus, not everyone who gets an application approved even shows up. We've had a couple of no-shows).
Generally the most important features to include are: Hair color/style, eye color, race/species, apparent age, other additions like scars or tattoos, and general demeanor. The demeanor is important so I know not to choose a picture of someone with a big smile on their face if the character is specifically supposed to be very serious. (take, for example, the differences between Smith and McTavish's avatars. very different moods).
I will try to find the closest photo match I can based on your description. _________________
