Deep Space 9-

Dominion force in the alpha quadrent is increasing. Starfleet seems to be outmatched thus far. It has been brought to our attention that if the Dominion is able send send supplies and reinforcements through the Bajoran Wormhole the Federation and the Alpha quadrent as a whole will be doomed. In weapons development we have been brainstorming about the best way to cut off the Wormhole.
It seems like we're leaning toward the direction of a mine field, but thats a very temporary solution, and would require a LOT of maintaining. Then something exciting happened. Maintenance Engineer Rom, and Ferengi, suggested using a replicator on the mines, so when one was detonated, it would be automatically replaced.
After that, we have been working feverishly to make the technology a reality. The original blueprints call for a mine approximately 3 meters in size. This is truly an engrossing and amazing project to be a part of-

-Well, I really don't have time to continue. There is too much work still to be done. Apparently there is a new blueprint, for a much smaller mine. This should make it more difficult to detect for scanners. I need to figure out a way to get the largest explosion for a mine that size. 1 meter! I'd better get busy. More to come!

good to see an update. I hope I'm not asked to make any science input, I'm too viseral and I don't think I could get the tech right. I'll leave that to you experts.

It's been two days since my last log, we've been so busy! I'm actually taking time out of lunch just to update. Truly its remarkable! We're moving along so quickly with the development of the mines. 1 meter in size, and we've developed a program so that they will group detonate to maximize damage on the target. The self-replication should, by all calculations work properly. And the cloaking devices, combined with the size should make them nearly untraceable. The project is nearly ready for advanced testing. Hopefully we'll have these ready to take out those filthy Dominion-
