The ship's armorer was sitting at his computer station, going over things as he always did, when PO Smith enters the office.

"Morning Chief. What's on the docket for the day?" Smith asked, since this was his weeklong rotation in the Armory.

"Nothing Smith, just going over the away team missions for the day. Do me a favor? Go up to the Conference room, ask Uvek if he's gonna need Phaser rifles for this Away Mission to retrieve the Cardies. Its a little more professional than calling up in the middle of the meeting, and you get an answer faster..."

"Sure thing Chief. I'm on my way"

The communications whistle blew in the armory.

"Armory... go ahead." said the Armorer.

"Chief, its Smith. The Away Team will be using the runabout on this mission. They're requesting we put a few Phaser rifles in the Thames for the Weapons locker."

"Okay, so why are you calling? I thought I told you face to face was more professional..."

"I'm sorry about that Chief, I'm doing a security sweep of the Thames, and I forgot to let you know.

"Alright Smith... I'll let this one slide... DON'T let it happen again."

"Aye Aye Chief."
