"Medical Tricorder." Doctor Kiv orders as she holds out her hand for the device. A nearby nurse hands her the scanner and she opens it running the probe along the length of the corpse in front of her. After a moment she begins to speak, recording the results vocally for the Medical Log.

"The subject is a Lieutenant Vrassoc. Romulan Male, 53 standard years of age. 1.7 Meters tall, 90.7 Kilograms in weight. Cause of death is poisoning via an unidentified agent. A copy of this report is to be sent to the Romulan Fleet Liaison Officer currently stationed in the Cardassian Protectorate Zone under Romulan Jurisdiction."

She turns to Cadet Azmay and closes the tricorder. "I hate to have you learn this way Cadet... the death of a fellow crewmen is never easy to endure but as medical professionals we have to learn to put aside our feelings and perform the task at hand. I'm not sure how the Lorbay feel about death... but I know it's never easy for Bajorans, even when we think that they're going to be with the Prophets."

Azmáy stands next to Doctor Kiv, as she expertly performs the autopsy on Liutenant Vrassoc.

"This one appreciates your sentiments, Doctor Kiv. This one cannot say that his people are a too concerned about death, for an species blessed with a long life expectancy. The Loráby are too worried with life to dwell too much on the afterlife. This one could share some of es beliefs, but some others are not for the ears and minds of those who are not Loráby, Doctor."

Cadez Azmáy balances es weight from one foot to the other:

"If you are interested, this one would say that... as a people who think they have been more blessed than others, more will be asked from them beyond the Great Portal. E, this one, would most probably think that is one of the reasons for the degree of development ethics and morality have achieved in one's culture, even if e knows that religion and a belief in the afterlife are not necessarily tied to virtue."

Doctor Kiv was about to respond to the Cadet when the Captain's Yeomen announced the staff meeting. She closed her Tricorder and set it aside. Smiling she looked to Azmay and motioned for the door.

"Perhaps you'll join us for the briefing Cadet, part of your training is learning proper procedure and I can't think of a better way than by sitting in with the Senior Staff."

"If you say so, Doctor, this one will follow you. On your leave, Doctor."

Azmay then followed Doctor Kiv to the Senior Staff meeting, walking slightly behind her, es tall body balancing itself with its peculiarly elegant Loráby body movements.
