I need help remembering something. I played a computer game quite a while ago. I cannot remember the name. In it starfleet had interactions with the Borg, Klingons, Romulans, and you had access to Sovereign class, Akira's, in fact all manner of starships. You could play all the Borg ships from spheres to triangles to cubes. You could be Klingon all the way up Vorcha and Negh'Vars. You had to build fleets and invade or explore space and encounter enemies. Ranged and close quarter attacks were commonplace, and so were specialized defenses, like unmanned torpedo stations, etc.
It was three dimensional, you got a portion of space (including nebulas and wormholes and asteroid fields. You could zoom up and down, you could build starbases, shipyards, etc. In fact, you had to in order to grow. Then you just fought for control. It was awesome and the Borg were tough as ever. But, you could have special weapons, too.
I just cannot remember for the life of me the name...anyone? _________________

GOT IT! It was Armada....I loved that game! After a while i found cheat codes and was able to get all the advanced weapons and what not. There was a particularly powerful weapon, I think it was like a subspace distruptor. It wiped out whole ships.
Anyway, was trying to figure it out. I'm going to order it again. _________________

I played them a while back when they first came out. I wish I could still find my copy... they were fun games, though the storyline was lacking in my opinion. _________________

I really liked Stat Trek: Away Team.
Uvek, a game I think you'd like (based on Star Fleet Battles) was called Star Trek: Starfleet Command along with its several sequels. _________________

I looked into that game, along with Bridge Commander....
To be honest about Bridge Commander, it was just too cerebral for my tastes, not enough opportunity to bludgeon the enemy! LOL
(I say that while I'm typing on a key-board in an RPG)...I have seen Starfleet Command, and I'm interested. In fact, we are going to Walmart this weekend and checking into the games.
We'll let you know which one I end up with. _________________
