|
|
Location: Outside the Counselor's Office
Stardate: 53794.1 (about 5 days after the Trill disaster)
Qech stood outside the door, looking at the button to the door chime. She contemplated turning around and heading back to the bridge, but the Captain had been rather persistent that she pay Counselor Zeara a visit. For obvious reasons, her smile was becoming sorely missed on the bridge. For a split second, she considered the option of ringing the bell and running away like some juvenile prankster. Or going back to the bridge and telling the Captain she wasn't in her office... But those were silly ideas that she would never actually act on. Even if they were tempting.
Finally she reached out and rang the bell, and waited.
I'm not sure I'm ready to talk about this she thought to herself. It's just so soon... _________________

"Enter" she said as she closed out the file she was making notes on.
Looking up at the Commander as she walked in she offered her a smile as she stood walked to greet her.
"Greetings, Commander. Please, come in and have a seat" she said offering her a spot on the couch. _________________

Qech walked into the room, looking around a little bit before sitting down on the edge of the couch. It was clear she was uncomfortable with the idea of finding herself in a counselor's office yet again. After her unexpected joining with the Qech symbiont she'd seen enough of them to last her all 6 of her lifetimes. And having memories of actually being one, somehow made it worse.
She took a deep breath, and gave a nervous smile, sitting up straight. "I said I'd come. It took some nagging from the Captain, but I'm here." She lapsed into an uncomfortable silence for a moment before adding: "to be honest, I really don't even know where to start with all this. It's been a long week." _________________

(sorry for the delay in this reply... it was up on my screen when my monitor died... been trying to get back to this for days!)
Returning her smile, she sat on the overstuffed chair across from her. "Yes, it has. I can only imagine what you've been through. How are you feeling today? No residual effects from the fall I take it?" _________________

((OOC: No problem. I know you're having computer problems. Mine threatened to die on me last weekend. I understand.))
"Yes, it has. I can only imagine what you've been through. How are you feeling today? No residual effects from the fall I take it?"
Qech slowly shook her head. "No. Not physically, no. Although I have to admit the whole scenario was a bit embarrassing. I felt like I was on display or something." She sighed, looking down at her hands, which were folded in her lap. "Needless to say I haven't felt much like laughing the last few days." _________________
