Uvek stood on the bridge. It was 3 hours before they arrived at the planet and the bridge was active with personnel prepping their stations. He activated his screens and retrieved his messages. PO Koester sent a recommendation on the handling of the Cardassian personnel. Without specifics on who or what awaited them, there was no way to properly prepare. He would review the situation with the medical staff and determine if the secondary triage area was still operational. Security shields and an armed team could deal with the Cardassians, once they were brought on board.

He felt a twinge from his shoulder. Uvek liked the holodeck for a number of reasons. Mostly due to his planetside activities. He always had a strict physical regimen, which he would have missed without the ship's amenities. He was determined to keep himself focused and was even now developing a training program for the marine and security personnel. With the Vorta ambassador he intended to tailor his program to the various planetary conditions they might face in their current mission. It was perfect.

He checked his screens and tied shields in with the sensors. Better safe than sorry. Then he began a series of sweeping drills to keep his tactical teams on their toes. Their reaction times were good, but could be improved. 92% would never do.

Captain David Brennon stepped out onto the Bridge from the Conference Room and maneuvered across the deck to the command chair. He eased himself into the seat and looked to Lieutenant Calodan.

"Mr. Calodan, once the Ambassador is aboard, signal our thanks to the Dominion vessel. Ensign zh'Rel, lay in a course for the Class L Planet. Engage at Warp 8 once we've secured the Ambassador."

The feminine Andorian nodded and tapped out the commands across her console.

"Course set and ready, Captain."
