Task Force: Gamma

Lt. Uvek watched the captain stand and stretch. The captain then changed his posture, nodding to Commander Qech. They moved toward the conference room. Uvek looked at the pale blue sphere filling the screen before him. His curiosity peaked and he ran a tactical scan. Nothing. If there were ships here, they were cloaked. Planetary scans were the purvue of the science officer, so he didn't bother sweeping too deeply, just enough to ascertain that there were no threats below.

M'rowl's voice came over the comm, ordering Senior officers to the conference room. He motioned to Ensign Phell, one of his tactical officers, who moved immediately to the console. Uvek thumbed the controls and switched them to Phell's command. With a nod, he moved to join the officers for the pre-mission brief.

"This should be interesting", he thought, "My first mission for Starfleet, and not against it."
