I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone for the lack of activity as we've moved into the New Year. Let me start us off by saying one thing: We are not closing. I can bet that at least some of you are thinking it, and I'd like to kill that idea before it goes anywhere. Although various out of game concerns have grappled my attention over the past few weeks, some important and others not so important, I have every intention to bringing some life back into this game. In all honesty, the winter is not one of my best times, creatively speaking.

That said, I would like to scale back our operations. By this I mean I am going to be a little less active on our action posts, drawing down to every second or third day. This does not mean I will not be focused or that the game will suffer, it just means it will proceed at a slower pace -- more like the days when we were on the E-Mail based system.

While I may not have been informing everyone as much as I should have, I have been thinking about our game, enjoying it and looking forward to moving ahead with the story. I will be posting up the continuation of the Hartington's story tonight and will start Challenger up in the next few days, with a likely post date for me on Monday. I look forward to continuing our stories together and I hope that we will have a very fruitful future. Allons-y my friends!

I understand how you feel Captain, no worry's. I thought I would point out that the Guardian will continue in fits and starts like we always do, I should have an action post today, most likely won't be on at all on Saturday, but maybe I'll catch up on Sunday if all goes well. I might make a suggestion, if there are people out there that would like more action at this time, we have a ship waiting to launch, the Hudson. I might suggest Mark start a thread in the Hudson chat and see if there is any interest there, I've already told him I would through a character his way in a pinch, I imagine if two or three others were interested that would be enough to get the ball rolling. I imagine it could be tweeked as well, it's set up for a TOS simm, but I imagine if enough people wanted a JJ alternate universe type of thing, that might be arranged as well. Just some ideas for anyone who's concerned.

I appreciate the heads up and the vote of confidence. I'll wait to start any investigation until I get a nod from the captain. My chief concern is that sporadic posting is the key to losing players. You'll see them checking less and less until finally they are gone. We need to keep them interested. I don't think the core is at risk, but in order to draw others, we need life.

I have a couple ideas I could run...here's a thought....move the Hudson along to be a new Constitution A class. Let the circumstances progress to the area of Starfleet needing to keep up with the Klingons and Romulans, and so speed the launch of the A class. This could open shakedown problems, and might entice others to join more readily. Just a thought.

Anyway, I want to keep active, so I'll check every day and standby to help where I can.........

Engage!

Hey folks, I came back because I enjoyed Task Force Gamma and still enjoy it 100 percent.

Thanks for the heads up on what was going on and if there is anything I can do to help out in anyway, just let me know.

The biggest point of a good group is that life HAS to come first. Take the time you need to get your life together and we'll still be here when that happens.

That should go for anyone and everyone in the group.

Now to add to the woes a bit...I've gotten a promotion at work. Where I had free time before at work to develop story ideas...Im now working every second of 10 hour shifts and when I get home I'm wiped out. My posting quality is probably going to go down because I wont have to time to do the intensive research I typically put into them..but we WILL survive. We have too much talent not to.

Well said and congrats on the promotion! Good for you in this economy....I agree 100% on the talent comment. I really like the postings and re-read them often. The stories are also good, and it helps to rehash them and remember where folks come from.

I'd like to see some backstories from the captains, too, as a plug.

Good work all.....

Mark
