Personal Log, Stardate 45359.3 (for ref: 2368 June)....

So, six months ago a Federation plot was exposed to reunify Vulcan and Romulus. Ambassador Spock, of all people! Of course Spock was now in hiding somewhere on Romulus, his work continuing no doubt.

Amazing how alike we all are deep down, the Federation and the Star Empire. We all want information, we all want to rule. They through peace, we through conquest. Whatever. It's just another cog in the wheel, another mission for another spy (though I doubt that's what he would want to be called, or even believe that he is).

My last mission was a rough one. A civil war in the Klingon Empire, supported by the Tal Shiar of course, meant all hands on deck. We had been pulled off whatever work we were doing in the Federation and sent into Klingon space. I got posted to Boreth in a surveillance "booth" secured behind my cloaking device, where I was working to unveil a project known only as "the Sto-vo-kor Initiative." It was tense work. I didn't exactly fit in around there on that winter wonderland, which was great. It meant I could only come out at night, sneaking through villages and hallways, trying to find anything on the work my superiors suspected was happening here. I hate skulking around like that anyway. I much prefer the rush of direct contact, fooling the ones I am working against, pushing the limits of my luck to take what I need to finish the job. But, a spy has to do what a spy has to do....

(brief pause)....resume log....I got distracted there. The Klingon who discovered me was just as surprised as I was. He was crouched, singing some song to Kahless and looking like he was getting ready for something. Anyway, I had come around the bend of a creek just below the monestary and he was sitting there covered in snow and singing! He didn't sit long. When he saw me shock and surprise hit his face and he lept up with a curse, grabbing for his bat'leth. Hnaev! I did NOT want this.

I stepped in to match his attack and try to close the distance against that blade. I knew I would only get one crack at this, and reached around to block the first swing, getting lucky in the process. In getting up suddenly, his foot slipped on the snowy ground ever so slightly and his swing went wide. I was inside and reached for him, grabbing him in a traditional hold, sweeping him around and off his feet. He landed hard behind me his bat'leth flying out of his wet hands, and I spun and struck instinctively into the side of his bone-armored neck (breaking my hand in the process), but executing him by the Tal Shaya, just as I had trained for years to do.

My mission was over. No way they would not miss him tomorrow, not on this rock. I pulled, pushed and prodded his lifeless body into my blind and sealed the door. Then I activated my emergency transporter and exited back to my cloaked scout class ship to beat a hasty retreat.

Looks like I'll need a new mission.

END LOG.

We realize, of course, that Spock was working on his own, but to the Tal Shiar, this was a Federation plot....just trying to stay in character. I hope these posts are alright. I have never written star trek canon before.
