Character: Chief Roekil

Roekil tapped his commbadge. "Yes Commander, Ensign McKlaggen will be accompanying us." He tapped his commbadge again "Ensign McKlaggen, please report to transporter room 1. Equip yourself for a standard away mission."

Roekil turned over his post to his relief and stepped to a turbolift. The lifts didn't like transporting him around the ship, his mass made them groan, but there was no way he could fit in the jefferies tubes.

Ensign McKlaggen

Ensign McKlaggen was so excited for his first away mission he was the first one to arrive to the transporter room. He stood off to the side, waiting for the others to arrive. He kept checking his phaser on his side, then glancing at the transporter chief. I can't wait to show the new chief what I can do!

Character: Dr. Sula Uroki
Location: Sickbay, USS Guardian

Dr. Uroki was in sick bay when she received the message to report for the away team, and happily tapped her combadge.

"I'll be right up, Sir. Oh, how exciting! I don't usually get to go on too many away teams... Doctor, you know. We're useful when people are sprouting blisters like cauliflower, but away missions don't typically end like that... Oh, I'm going to stop right there before I bring about some sort of terrible... What's that earth word? 'Voodoo?' Not that I believe in that stuff, I'm a science officer after all and it has little basis in fact, but you know everyone has their superstitions and I for one- Oh! I am on my way up as I speak, I just wanted to let you know that... Anyhow..."

Sula prattled on happily as she packed for the mission. But it would be up to each individual member of the crew when to end their own suffering and end the transmission.

Character: Chief Roekil
Location: Transporter Room 1

Chief Roekil walked into the Transporter room, quickly noticing that he was the second to arrive. He had briefly stopped in the armory and equipped himself with a tricorder, hand phaser, and a Type 3 Phaser rifle. He also had a bag on his back, carrying extra supplies.

"Ensign, you forgot your rifle." the Chief tossed the second rifle he was carrying to the young human. "Your duty on this mission is to cover the XO. We don't know what we might encounter on the surface."

His commbadge chirped and the Doctor's voice came over the comms. "I'll be right up, Sir. Oh, how exciting! I don't usually get to go on too many away teams... Doctor, you know." Roekil quickly closed the channel.

Surok entered the Transporter Room, nodded to the Transporter Chief,"Good Day, Chief."
Surok turned to the Ensign,"Are you ready Ensign?"

He nodded to a Lieutenant who's name he didn't know. "Lieutenant."

Commander Gaer stepped up onto the transport platform and looked at the assembled Away Team. He sighed, which sounded more like a snort than anything else -- though by this point in their voyage, the crew had become accustom to the Executive Officer's various snorting noises, this particular one noise meant he was frustrated.

"Ensign Kuplo appears to be tardy..."

LT Surok nodded to the Chief and arched an eyebrow, noting the multiple weapons,"Anticipating hostilities Chief Roekil? That may be the Logical approach given the knowledge we have of the Gama Quadrant"

USS Guardian: Transporter Room

Mehv moves quickly onto the nearest transporter pad. He had stopped by the equipment closet to grab a tricorder, tool belt, and went to the armory to check out a phaser.

Since he was in a hurry he of course got turned around in the confusing human layout of the ship. Not as bad as it used to be he noted, but he will still need to spend some additional time wandering the ship to get the locations set in his mind.

"Ready Commander."

ACTION

The team materializes in a court yard. The sun is shining, birds can be heard nearby. There is dust and debris piled in the corners, and the windows of the towers are quite dusty. An archway leads indoors straight ahead.

Dr. Uroki looked around at the landscape in front of her, immediately taking out her tricorder and getting scans of the area. "Beautiful! Just beautiful! It's good to get some fresh air. Good for the lungs. I hope we can all appreciate whatever we might find here because even just getting to look around is awe inspiring! Beautiful!... Oh. I think I recognize those flowers, or something similar. I'm allergic to the ones I'm thinking of..."

At that she began sneezing frantically.

"Oh!" ACHOO! "I'm aller-" CHOO! "allergic to the-" ACHOO! "These ones too!" ACHOO! "How unfortunate." AACHHOOO!
