Calodan moved to the fore of the bridge, relieving Ensign Ulog and taking his position at the Main Ops station.
He immediately began working with science, trying to triangulate their position in space time. _________________

USS Hartington Officers quarters
Xavier Croft
Croft had awoke when the ship had shuddered slightly, wondering what was happening, he was half dressed when the Commanders page came across.
Oh Boy here we go
He tapped his combadge, "Acknowledged."
Two minutes later he was in a turbolift. The trip was quick, and moments later he had taken the helm from the Gamma shift officer.
This ought to be interesting He stifled a yawn. _________________

"We're just getting that information now, Sir... You might want to get up here."
Captain Brennon's voice calmly came back over the comm.
"Understood Commander, I'm on my way."
Minutes later, the Captain stepped onto the Bridge. He was clad in a crisp, clean uniform, though his hair was still slightly in disarray from his being woken up. He looked to his First Officer, his tone all business.
"Report." _________________

"Senior Officers report to the bridge."
As the call came out Uvek and Koester exited the turbolift. Uvek motioned to Koester to assume a security terminal near his station and took his position from the Gamma shift officer.
"Mr. Koester, please coordinate your roving patrols. What is our status, Commander? Do we need an advanced alert status?" he asked as he reviewed the tactical readouts. _________________

Calodan swiveled in his chair, facing the center seats on the Bridge.
"Sirs, I've managed to triangulate our positions..well, figure out the date anyways. We've traveled almost 1000 years into the past. 998 years,5 months, 3 days, 4 hours, and 11 minutes to be more exact." _________________

"Report."
Qech gestured to the viewscreen, where the image of the nebula had been last the Captain saw it. It was replaced by an unfamiliar star-scape. "We encountered what appeared to be an unknown ship within the nebula. There was a transmission of some sort, but it was too damaged to salvage. When we moved in to investigate further, we found ourselves 3.7 light years from our original point... Thus the lack of dark matter on the screen. We're still unsure of what exactly caused the shutter, but it did knock the sensor net offline for a short time. There's been no reported damage to the ship, thankfully."
The Captain appeared to be taking it all in, and she watched his face, wondering if she'd been wearing the same expression when she'd heard the science report moments before. Under different, less serious, circumstances, it might have been humorous. Uvek's voice cut the brief moment of silence.
"What is our status, Commander? Do we need an advanced alert status?"
The Commander shook her head. "Not at this time Lieutenant. But that may change."
Suddenly, Calodan jumped in with his report, which was far from good news...
"Sirs, I've managed to triangulate our positions..well, figure out the date anyways. We've traveled almost 1000 years into the past. 998 years,5 months, 3 days, 4 hours, and 11 minutes to be more exact."
This time Qech was sure her expression matched the Captain's perfectly as they both looked at the Chief Ops Officer... _________________

Captain Brennon took in all of the data that had gathered before he came to the Bridge. It was certainly a great deal of information to go over. Once Qech had finished her report he arched his head over the Science Station and looked over some of the hard data himself. What force can hurl a starship 4 light years away and leave practically no damage nor any detectable trace other than... tachyons... Brennon stood up and looked to Lieutenant Calodan as he called out his own report.
"Sirs, I've managed to triangulate our positions..well, figure out the date anyways. We've traveled almost 1000 years into the past. 998 years,5 months, 3 days, 4 hours, and 11 minutes to be more exact."
It wasn't that he doubted his Operations Officer's assessment, Brennon simply needed to have the information repeated. And so, as he stepped towards the front of the Bridge, making his way to the Operations Station, Captain Brennon gave his next order.
"Repeat that, Lieutenant." _________________

Calodan turned so he could look directly at the Captain. "Sir, we are approximately 1000 years in the past. That jolt was some form of temporal anomaly." _________________

"Sir, we are approximately 1000 years in the past. That jolt was some form of temporal anomaly."
Captain Brennon nodded as he took in the matter of fact attitude given off by Lieutenant Calodan.
"That," he began, "was what I thought you said..."
Slowly, the Captain looked around the Bridge, to his assembled Officers both experienced and not. His eyes settled back on Calodan, his voice steady and commanding.
"Activate the cloaking device, we need to remain as unobtrusive to the timeline as we can... we can't avoid making any changes, even this far from home the results could be devastating. Lieutenant Solara, Commander Qech, you two begin going over all of the recorded sensor data. I need you to see if there is anything that could signify what happened to cause this any how we can reverse it. Lieutenant Croft, pull up everything from navigation, both in our computers and from the Myosian star charts we recently acquired, see if anything like this has been reported, Mr. Calodan, I'd like you to assist him. Lieutenant Uvek, take us to yellow alert. Increase security on all decks if you haven't already done so... we can't dismiss the possibility that this was some sort of attack. We're going to get home people, but I need everyone to stay calm and to do their jobs. I trust you all, so let's do it." _________________

Calodan looked to Croft and nodded then began examining the star charts. This was going to be a long shift. _________________

Qech nodded and made her way over to the science station, nodding to Lt. Solana as they began going over the readings, before and after the temporal 'speed bump'. Her mind started racing as she looked at the readings in front of her, eventually drifting down very strange roads.
If we don't get home... I could have a child centuries before I'm even born... The thought was, to put it mildly... weird, and she shrugged it off the moment it formed in her mind. No. We're going to fix this. This crew can do anything. We're going to get back. _________________

Croft retraced what had happened with propulsion, which helped fill in the gaps somewhat for what was going on, but didn't seem to shed any light on what had happened. This is beginning to look like a needle in a haystack, one minute things are fine, the next the sensors are dead Checking with Calodan, he pulls up some of the star chart data that Calodan hadn't looked at yet. Dark matter nebula with temporal disturbance, yep a needle _________________

Uvek tapped a switch and yellow light flashed on all decks, the relatively short blunt tone pulling everyone's attention to the status of the ship.
He looked at the captain. "Cloak operating normally, we are standing at yellow alert, sir. Petty Officer Koester has all ready placed patrols on all decks and sensitive areas of the ship, I have a team in the auxiliary bridge and we are coordinating their efforts now."
He activated a broad spectrum scan and looked at the readouts. Lt. Calodan's report did not pass by him, though, and his anxiety level was definitely elevated. The possibility of time travel always intriqued Uvek, and he was once tasked to steal temporal information from the Federation (though he was unsuccessful), and he had since maintained an interest in the mechanics of it. This was going to be unsettling, though fascinating, provided they could manage to stay out-of-sight and return home. _________________

"Sir. Patrols are in place. Nothing spotted yet." Koester replied. He had his trusty TR-116 tucked under his right arm.
He had his own exographic sensor over his right eye and moved his thumb on the TR-116's pistol grip for his own visual scans of the area. |

Qech looked up from her console to see PO Koester scanning the bridge with his headset. She shook her head, leaning over to Lt. Solana. "Makes you want to think twice next time you take a sonic shower." _________________
