Marek listened to the desperation in the First Citizens voice, his heart being moved in sympathy. Lenara turns, waiting for the First Citizen to finish speaking.

"Captain, I have confirmation of my findings from the Archer and Hartington. The warp signatures are from at least 8 different vessels, one matching the large vessel described by the Freika. I am also reading signatures matching Dominion, Breen, and Federation technologies. There is also evidence of a Klingon vessel, although not conclusive."

Adams head jerked towards Lenara, not believing what he had just heard. "Ensign, say that again. Federation, Klingon, Breen here? Are those confirmed with either the Hartington or the Archer?"

The first officer, standing at the captain's side, leaned in closer to his commanding officer. "Sir, if the Federation is involved somehow, we may want to start thinking of a way to resolve all this peacefully and get to the bottom of why our own people are here."

Lenara turn to Adams, "Yes sir, the data is confirmed. It is possible that these are salvaged or stolen vessels."

"Sir, if the Federation is involved somehow, we may want to start thinking of a way to resolve all this peacefully and get to the bottom of why our own people are here."

Marek glances at his first officer, then the view screen as he speaks, "I am open to suggestions, at this juncture I believe recovering the missing station should be our first priority."

The half-Human, half-Bajoran first officer, still looking towards the captain, while still glancing around the bridge spoke up. "Captain, my suggestion is to pursuit course immediately. All ships. I say keep our findings to just our three ships and don't report anything to Star Fleet until we see what is going on."

Adams paused then turned partways to Lenara. "They could be either ensign, especially if the Dominion or another enemy traveled to the Alpha Quadrant and discovered one of our salvage yards."

Adams head jerked up. "Captain, perhaps we should send a coded message to the Federation salvage yards to see if they are missing any vessels or have had any stolen recently."

Daniels piped in, having listened to the increased activity between all three ships and the planet as well.

"For my money it's something to do with the war. Lot's of profiteers out here, you know. Just saying.." He turned his head back to his console and kept the channels open and crystal clear.

Taarak was getting anxious. His fingers tapping on the edge of the console. He wanted to put the ship to use and go chasing after whomever left the warp trails. He wanted to bring the Guardian to her max speed and show off his piloting skills.

The Orion wasn't used to staying in one spot too long, he curbed all of his urges to press on the console in front of him and send the large vessel into a pursuit course.

"Sirs, I just want to let ya'll know that I have plotted a course to trail those warp signatures," Taarak said to both the captain and first officer. "Ready to put her at full speed on orders. Ready to kick some butt out here."

Taarak smiled slightly, fingers still tapping on the edge of his console, more than likely starting to annoy Daniels sitting next to him.

Adams, leaning up against one of the rails on the bridge of the Guardian laughed slightly to himself at the helmsman's eagerness. "Mr. Daniels, are the Archer and Hartington saying anything significant out there?"

The first officer had his arms crossed over his chest as he waited for an answer from the ops/communications officer.

Daniels moved around and concentrated on the board. As if to answer the XO itself, the command ship's message flew through space.

"Incoming encrypted message, captain!" He called out. "Hartington is authorizing the Archer to commence pursuit! We are to stay on station until sensor contact is made." He worked the board again. "Hartington just cloaked."

Marek shifted slightly as he spoke, "Ensign Daniels, monitor the Archer's transmissions closely, we want as much warning as possible when they find the ships. Ensign Lenara, push sensors to maximum, try to gather more detail on the ships make up and direction. Lt Vanquax, I want weapons at ready, they will likely be needed."

Daniels leaned in. He had just returned from a short break and stretched out as the lights on his board came awake.

"Captain, the Archer has made contact, heading 45 mark 6, 8 light years out. They are requesting assistance. I'm routing their transmission to Sciences."

The Orion's fingers swept quickly across the console as he punched in the coordinates Daniels was reading out. Without orders Taarak pressed the next set on his console and the Guardian jumped to warp.

"Captain, already enroute to those coordinates, maximum warp speed," Taarak said.

Marek nods to Taarak, "As you were, Lt." He turned to the senior staff, "I want a full status report in ten minutes in the staff room. Mr. Adams, you have the conn." Marek turns and enters his ready room.

OOC feel free to post a response before the staff meeting.

Marek sat at the staff room table, a cup of tea steaming in front of him and a PADD in his hand. It is a few minutes early, and as he sips his tea he ponders his new crew members going into battle together for the first time.

Esnign Daniels, Chief Communications Officer walked into the room, PADD in hand. He hated meetings. Still, this was unique. There was little doubt they were going into a dangerous situation, and outnumbered from all accounts.

He sat down and nodded to the captain. Marek was alright, as officers (and Vulcans) went, and he truly hoped he didn't let him down.
