Calodan initiated a scan of the station, searching for the lifesigns of the awayteam. Immediately, he noticed a problem.
"Sir, I'm able to get a lock on Ambassador Rolen and Lt. Uvek, but sensors are not detecting Commander Qech or Dr. Newell. They may be deeper in the station then our sensors can penetrate or aren't on the station at all." _________________

USS Hartington Bridge
Xavier Croft
Croft had been tracking the fighters when the Captain spoke.
"Yes sir." He began moving the Hartington through the holes in the search pattern. This is going to get interesting once they drop the cloak to begin beam out _________________

ACTION
For a moment, just a moment, Lieutenant Calodan's sensors pick up the life readings of Commander Qech. As quickly as they appeared they vanished again.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Croft was beginning to have his hands full as it appeared the Tal'Harton fighters were closing in on the Hartington's position. The ship shuttered as one of the other vessels flew much too close for comfort.
Captain Brennon let out a breath as he moved over towards the OPS and NAV stations.
"Cutting it a little close, don't you think Mr. Croft?" _________________

"Captain, I can't get a solid lock on the Commander and Dr. Newell. It seems every time the sensors find them, they disappear again." _________________

"Keep scanning, Lieutenant. I don't want to drop the cloak until I know we can get them out of there."
ACTION
Sensors once again lock onto Qech, this time the lock holding, but there doesn't appear to be any sign of Newell. _________________

USS Hartington Bridge
Xavier Croft
Croft's hands were flying over the console, trying to force maneuvers out of the ship that taxed the limits of the ships capabilities.
"Cutting it a little close, don't you think Mr. Croft?"
Croft smiled despite himself.
"If I didn't know any better I'd say they can see us and are just toying with us." Another slight shudder is felt as on screen the ship does a half roll and pulls up. _________________

While scanning for the away team, Calodan had been monitoring the moement of the Tal'Harton fighters.
"If I didn't know any better I'd say they can see us and are just toying with us."
Croft's exclamation made him stop mid thought. He reassigned one of the sensors and realized that Croft was correct. "Sir, it is my assessment that the Tal'Harton know we're here and are very quickly narrowing our position. I believe the fighters are a distraction meant to give them time to get a solid lock on our position." _________________

Brennon's eyes narrowed at the view screen and he moved back towards the command chair.
"Well then, let's not keep them waiting shall we? Drop the cloak and beam Commander Qech, Lieutenant Uvek and Ambassador Rolen straight to sickbay. Once they're aboard raise shields and go to Red Alert. Keep scanning for the Doctor... we're not going to leave anyone behind." _________________

"Yes sir, initiating transport procedure."
The ship shimmered back into existence and the fighters immediately turned to attack the Hartington. The ship's transporters sparked to life and rescued her wayward crew from the station.
"Transporter Room 1 reports Commander Qech, Lt Uvek, and Ambassador Rolen are aboard. They are being escorted to Sickbay."
The ship was rocked by the first weapons hits from the fighters as the Red Alert klaxxons sang their tune. _________________

Croft almost relaxed when the Captain shouted for Red alert. At least I'm only trying to get the ship in firing position He dove the ship between the fighters, heading for the station.
"Lt. Calodan, I'm going to get as close as I can to the station, maybe that will help you get a lock." Croft checked the surface of the station. 100 meters, that should be ridiculously close _________________

Qech's head was spinning as the familiar transporter room materialized in around her. She found herself lying on a transporter pad where a saggy bed had been only moments before. The response from the medics was almost instant as they swooped in and attempted to help her to her feet. It all happened a little too fast, and the vertigo caused black spots to appear in her vision. Her head bobbed slightly to the side as they lifted her, but she fought to stay awake.
"Doctor Newell... He's still back there" she said, as loudly as she could manage, but she wasn't sure if anyone heard her. Her mind remained fixed on her friends during the trip to sickbay, a journey that was already less than a foggy memory in her mind by the time she arrived. _________________

"Captain, I have a lock on the Doctor. Initiating transport."
The Hartington's shields blinked out of existence for the barest of second's while her transporters retrieved her wayward Doctor from the station. Thanks to some maneuvering by Lt. Croft, the ship was spared but the barest of glancing blows from the incoming weapons fire.
"Transporter Room 1 reports Dr. Newell is aboard." _________________

Hnaev! Relief and frustration poured through Uvek as the heat of the barracks was replaced by the cool of the environmental controls. So close to some answers. Fvadt! He took a look around as the medics swooped in. Commander Qech was there and Rolen, wow...Rolen looked even worse than he felt, if that was possible.
"UNNNNGH" he groaned as the medics lifted him and moved him toward the door. He heard the unmistakable hum of the transporter just as the door closed. Doctor Newell. Good.
"There are others," he managed to say to the transporter chief as the doors closed behind him. Then he passed out. _________________
